
The National Youth Council Nigeria (NYCN) IMOTA LCDA Branch On The 7th Of November Organised an extensive Clean Up Program For IMOTA LCDA In Ikorodu To Mark The National Youth Day.
The year 2020 which has been graced with the global pandemic (CoVid-19) and also the national agitation to #EndSars, It Is only relieving for youths to embark on positive exercise of this kind to set the pace for societal growth.
The Sanitary Exercise which started by 7am at the Ajino Market IMOTA saw the converging of Vibrant Youths across IMOTA LCDA with cutleries and clean up equipments to the surprise of standby Residence as they cleaned the entire sessions of the market axis.
With Coordinators from both the youth council and students union, it was only a matter of duration before the exercise got the Attention of everyone.
According to Comrade Folarin Adegboyega Awal, “Exercises like this is important to the Development of our communities”.
“This program has received good level of success due to the fervent support from our Kabiyesi, the Local government area of IMOTA LCDA’S Department of Environmental & Health, And other voluntary youths Organisation in IMOTA LCDA.
The goal is to make IMOTA beautiful and attractive for both inhabitants and outsiders.
This program is a snowball that will eventually be running across Ikorodu Division.
Health is wealth and we believe our other partners and counterparts will emulate this goodwill exercise to make Ikorodu clean for progressive Activities” Comrade Folarin.
Amongst areas touched by the NYCN IMOTA Branch cleaning program is Ajino Market, Ayayo Road, Itumoja Road, IMOTA
Roundabout, IMOTA Youth House, Eluku Road.

STATEMENT FROM THE COUNCIL
CLEAN UP IMOTA LCDA IS NOW DONE AND DUSTED
After the long anticipation, the National Youth of Council of Nigeria, Imota Local Council Development Area Branch held her Clean Up Imota LCDA project today in different areas across the community on Saturday 7th of November, 2020.
The environmental sanitation programme which started very early in the morning around 7.00am witnessed the presence of the Councillor Ward B, Hon. Sodunke Ekundayo, all the registered youth organizations in Imota LCDA, Environment and Health Department of Imota LCDA, LAWMA Street Sweepers in Imota LCDA, LAWMA Street Captains and many more.
The different areas that were clean up in the community includes; Ejina market square, Ayayo road, Imota roundabout bus stop, Owode street, link junction of Itunmaja street/Ajegunle street, etc.
While addressing all the participants of the environmental sanitation exercise by Coordinator of the Youth Council in Imota LCDA, Comrade Folarin Adegboyega Awal, he appreciated all the participants for their support and contributions towards making the exercise a success and welcomed all the invited organization for supporting the clean Up Imota LCDA project.
He made it known that the essence of the Clean Up Imota LCDA project is birthed in commemoration of the maiden edition of this year’s National Youth Day, to instilled the habit of continuous environmental cleaning, and to promote health leaving among the populace in the entire Imota LCDA.
Comrade Folarin concluded by imploring all the youths and residents of Imota community to continue maintainning a clean environment, to adhere to preventive measures, to take personal responsibility as ordered by our health workers and to always stay safe as nearly all the countries in the world continue to battles against Covid-19 pandemic.
