The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye (OGA), son of former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye as the winner of the just concluded State House of Assembly elections in Ikorodu constituency 1. Ijede-born Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro, known better as AMA was also declared winner of Ikorodu constituency 2 for the State House of Assembly seat. Both candidates campaigned under the All-Progressive Congress (APC) party's umbrella. Ikorodu constituency 1 comprises Ikorodu LG, Ikorodu West LCDA and Ikorodu North LCDA, while Ikorodu Constituency 2 consists of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Imota LCDA and Ijede LCDA. The declaration was made at the INEC's office in Ikorodu on Sunday the 19th of March 2023.
