
The majority Leader Lagos State House Of Assembly (LSHA) Representating Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon SOB Agunbiade with officials from the ministry of works today visited the ongoing road constructions in both sekunmade and Ijede-Elepe axis of Ikorodu.
The project was halted due to the surge in Covid-19 Pandemic in Lagos state, But gained momentum in the later part of 2020.
The road construction has recently received praise from both road users and residents within the community due to the rigorous efforts made by the Arab Contractors to hasten it’s completion.
“I, alongside top officials of the Ministry of Works, headed by the Special Adviser who was supported by the permanent secretary and team of engineers visited Sekunmade and ljede road project where road reconstruction is presently ongoing in Ikorodu Constituency 1” Hon SOB Agunbiade
“It is encouraging that Lagos State Government does not just award contract to credible contractors but also ensure the contract is executed with dues diligence that matches quality and worth for money in the interest of end users”
“I was impressed by quality of the job on on these roads in my constituency and the people of Ikorodu are indeed grateful to the Government of Sanwoolu-Hamzat” Hon Agunbiade Added
“Also ongoing are power line road, soderu road as well as eyita and owetu-arepo road. All being handled by credible contractors.
According to the SA completion of Itamaga – have been delayed by the pandemic and End Sars protest”
“But hopefully is now expected to be completed around Apil when the contractor will deliver.
We shall continue to monitor and ensure that credible observations of various local monitoring teams are taking into consideration in the execution of the projects” Hon Agunbiade Averred
