IKORODU METRO LIONS CLUB USHERS IN NEW LEADERSHIP’S FIRST PROJECT WITH 3-DAY YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM IN OGIJO ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

As the service to humanity platform ushers in a new leadership, the outstanding humanitarian organisation, Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club presented the first project in 2021/2022 Lions year.

Projecting it’s first 3-Day Youth Empowerment Training, which took place from Wednesday 7-9 July, 2021 at Emmybee Catering School, Ogijo, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The club in her magnanimous spirit put resources together to employ the services of seasoned confectionery instructors/operators in collaboration with Emmybee catering school, ogijo.

The service club having understood negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic which made the youths vulnerable in the society. To divert their attention against social vices, the organization decided to empower the youths to be self reliance economically, to become a better and responsible people in the society.

The three days intensive exercises trained over twenty (20) youths (male and female) through Bread Baking, Milky Potato, Pizza, Cake Baking, Juicy and Chicken Pie etc. The participants were subsequently awarded certificates after the successful completion of the empowerment exercise.

One of the participants that spoke on behalf of his colleagues thanked the Lions Club International and Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club for finding them worthy to benefit in the gesture and to become a better person(s), no doubt the rigorous practical training had impacted their lives positively.

The club President Lion Babatunde Shobowale NLCF appreciated the institute for the successful partnership to use the awards winning institute in confectionery. He further charged all the beneficiaries to make use of the rare opportunities inherent in training that came to their doorstep free of charge
