As the world marks International youth day and Humanitarian Day, Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, National Deputy Chairman, Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria and Vice-Chairman Ikorodu local Government urges aspiring leaders and youths to embrace Service from the heart.

In her message to the press, the Global President, Yoruba Council of Women Worldwide and DG. Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement admonishes all to stay on course with self productive tendencies as a focal point for personal growth and development.

“As we step out of celebrating the International youth day and approach the celebration of World Humanitarian Day, I want to urge everyone to stay true to themselves and life expectancy by carving a positive niche for an adequate paradigm shift towards a greater purpose”

“There is so much change going on in the world today. With modern technology, it makes it so much harder to escape the peer pressures of life. Whether we win or lose in our press towards success, always appreciating ourselves for every effort we put in is very important. Discouraging a defeat or mistake often leads to us feeling embarrassed which further deteriorates our confidence

“Whenever we attempt at something new, we must praise ourselves, even if we stumble along the way. Of course, constructive criticism is allowed if we want to thrive and prosper in life. However, giving ourselves consistent encouragement to avoid active setbacks, guides us towards self-assurance”

“The instinct of winning is paramount to us at this time to suppress every form of discouragement and despondent approach to life challenges. We can only work to become a light in the dark if we plan to become effective leverages within our society as it stands”

“This is why I am encouraging everyone to Serve from the heart in order to see the desired change we expect from our communities, States, Nation and World at large. Our youths must engage and participate in the process without despising their humble beginnings. Believing in yourself is the first step”

“To be all you can is to stand by your word. Sow seeds and always get them watered for your plants to grow for harvest. Never be only a talker, also be a doer of what you say and aspire to become. Yes, competition is getting stiffer but at the end just like that song we sang in primary school, “This little light of mine, am gonna let it shine” is a practice to fulfilling all our goals in life” Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba added.

The woman leader later thanked everyone who dared to make a great positive difference around the world. ‘Shine on ‘she said with a big smile on her face.
