Afiat Omolade Hassan is presently an Assistant Chief Accountant in Lagos State Local Government Commission deployed to lkorodu Local Government.

Before that, she had worked with the defunct power holding company of Nigeria for ten years where she retired as Manager of Finance & Administration in 2013 and joined KLT Partners as a Senior Consultant till 2018.

Princess Kafilat Omolade was born to the royal family of Amusa Ajanaku in ljede LCDA under Ikorodu Division by Alhaji Adegbola Amusa and Alhaja Opeyemi Amusa.

Her father was a retired School Principal and Executive Education Secretary and her mother a successful trader.

She started her primary education at Temidire Primary School, Ikorodu between 1976 and 1982.

She proceeded to lkorodu Grammar School, Ikorodu where she had a WASC certificate in 1987 She obtained her OND certificate in Accounting from Lagos State Polytechnic and proceeded to Yaba College of technology for her Higher Diploma in Accounting and graduated in 1996 She had her Master degree in Managerial Psychology from the prestigious University of Ibadan in the year 2002 spurred by the undertaken between her father and herself that, marriage would not shatter the dream of having beyond the first degree, she became determined to her promise not to disappoint the dutiful and a loving parent, she enrolled for her master’s.

To fulfil her ambition of being a Charter Accountant, she later decided to register for professional examinations and to the glory of God, she became an associate member of the Institute Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 2011 and was conferred fellowship status in 2022.

SERVICE TO THE INSTITUTE

Omolade has been serving as an executive member of the District since 2012. She is a member of the examination board serving as an invigilator and assessor. She’s on the public committee of the institute, and served as the Chairman, of food and drink at the last concluded western Conference. She’s also the newly appointed chairman, of the Western Zone of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

RELIGION

Omolade has been a dedicated Muslim. She Performed a pilgrimage to the holy land of Mecca in 2014. Member of NASFAT Welfare Committee lkorodu Branch. Member of Harakat-ul Islamiyya Movement

As an efficient multitasker, Omolade has been able to strike and maintain a delicate balance between the family as a dutiful wife/mother and the rigorous demands of a professional career woman.

She is happily married to Alhaji Hassan Taiwo Daud and gracefully blessed with children and grandchildren.
