Good old friends started with the name ‘Range 2000’ in the Alara area of Isele in Ikorodu.

Consisting of childhood friends, the name was later changed to Good Old Friends (GOF) in the year 2017.

Initially made up of young strugglers from the inception, it was formally named Range 2000 because the majority of the members were in tertiary institutions and reading up on one skilled work or the other.

Today, the group consists of Senior Civil and Public Servants, Engineers, and Medical Doctors, who’ve decided to give back to their neighbourhood.

With a focus on humanitarian services, the group assists the less privileged, nursing mothers, Children and health centres.

In 2022, they supported Ita-Elewa PHC with relief materials to boast the service of the medical institution, and in 2023 they took the same act to Adisa Ababa primary health centre, where they also donated ventilator fans and long benches.

Notable names among the group include; Alejo Ademola, Alhaji Awosanya Ajibola, Ajasa Adebola, Planner Fashola Rilwan, Engr Ogundipe Afeez, Adio Rilwan, Alhaja Yosola Kas, Abdulahi Musibau, Ashraf Otubu Femi, Ayanlaja Saheed, Odugbesi Lookman, Kalejaye Gbenga, Lambo Rilwan, Lawal Rotimi, Isikalu Segun, Adebambo Kehinde,Jokomba Lookman, Aderoju Asama, Elemuren Nurudeen, Gbadamosi lateef, Odunukan Olajide, Ajasa Tunde, Agbator Olas, Engr. Majiyagbe Kassim, Ajose Goriola, Adesanya Saheed, Junaid Saheed, Laja Oduntan, Mondiu and Odumade Yinka.

Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina has since praised the group for their kind acts and service to humanity, using them as a yardstick to call on other capable personalities and associations to emulate their generous gestures.
