ADEOYE ABIODUN: MY PASSION FOR FOOTBALL DRIVES ME TO DISCOVER TALENTS, GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITIES ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Adeoye Afeez Abiodun is a passionate football enthusiast with over 24yrs of experience in the soccer sector of West Africa.
With educational background cut across the Northern, Eastern and South Western part of Nigeria, Adeoye Abiodun, from Ikorodu, is a member of the Lagos Country Club.
In Nigeria alone, he has attended and watched matches at Kano, Enugu, Aba, Akure and Abeokuta stadiums, and he was opportuned to attend the Olympics games in 2012.
Recently speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Adeoye disclosed that he attended 2010, 2014, and 2018 world Cup.
He was also in Qatar for the 2022 world Cup.
“Am a passionate football lover, an Arsenal football fan, who’s also lucky to have travelled to London to watch their games”.
Changing positions to his administrative strength, Adeoye said, “As the game ambassador, I helped promoted the departmental football competition for bankers in Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) for 2yrs which later became the Orange league“.
According to Adeoye, he was part of an outsourced agency to voluntarily organise the annual Lagos City Marathon.
“The departmental games expanded to bridging other branches”.
“In my leisure time, I and my colleagues play football on weekends at the Nitel football pitch in Oshodi” Adeoye added.
Coming back to Ikorodu, Adeoye Abiodun explained that for over 4yrs now, his been elected as the vice-chairman of Ikorodu divisional football association, which is focused on grassroots football and talent discovery.
Known to procure the Nigerian Supporters club as an attraction to local soccer competitions he promotes, Adeoye has also been identified with infusing cheerleading girls in his half-time coordinated games.
He continued, “It has been observed that local footballers do not have ID’s or proper means of Identification. So one of the key things I did coming into the sector, was to affiliate with a tech company to produce proper ID cards for them free of charge“.
“If not all the clubs, a lot of clubs in Ikorodu division have registered their players to this identification scheme, which has made it easy for officials to identify them during games”.
“In a nutshell, my vision is to give the youths a proper career platform to showcase their talents throw the football, which will in turn create a better society for all” Adeoye explained.
Adeoye Abiodun’s family promoted the Late Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold Cup competition, which is instrumental in supporting grassroots female footballers in Nigeria.
Two players from the competition’s maiden edition in 2022 were enlisted to join Nigeria Under 17 female world cup 2022 in India.
