In celebration of World Literacy Day, Lions Club District 404A3 organized a special sensitization walk to raise awareness about the importance of adult education in Ikorodu Central.
The event, held on September 8th, aimed to empower individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve their lives and contribute to the development of the community.
Leaders and Members of Lions Club District 404A3, assembled at Sabo Axis in Ikorodu where the day’s activities kicked off.
It began with an informative walk focusing on the significance of adult education and its impact on personal growth and community advancement.
Emphasizing the transformative power of education at any age, the clubs highlighted various opportunities available for adults to enhance their literacy skills.
With flyers shared, intending participants were presented with the opportunity to access educational materials, career guidance, and information on local adult education initiatives.
The walk ended at ‘Teachers House’ in Ikorodu, where a graduation ceremony was subsequently held for individuals who’ve participated in the club’s adult education program.
