School Administrators across Ijede LCDA have commended the efforts of the council boss, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, on her continuous support for education.
The praises come as the executive chairman launched an academic initiative tagged ‘back to school’, which involves the distribution of free school materials to students within her jurisdiction.
Set in motion on the 25th of September 2023, 3 schools, including Anglican Primary School, Anwar Ul Islam Primary, and Egbin Kingdom Primary School in Ijede all took front-row seats as Hon Motunrayo distributed free books plus uniforms for students at the start of another educational calendar.
Leading the scheme, chaperoned by the council’s education department, Hon. Motunrayo took the early hours of the day to meet up with the children during their normal assembly duration before the start of school activities.
According to the chairman, The provision of free books and uniforms is meant to encourage the pupils to stay focused on their studies.
She explains, “We want them to know that success can be attained no matter their level, rich or poor regardless”.
“Presently, we’re doing a lot to enhance education in Ijede LCDA, but that does not prevent us from making the children’s back to school a special one”.
“I am certain, this kind gesture by the council will equally put a smile on their parent’s faces when they return home” the chairman asserted
Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, HRM, Oba Adeoriyomi Oyebo, who attended the allocation program at the Egbin Kingdom primary school praised the council boss for her supportive initiative towards students in the community.
Urging the chairman to stay fervent in her good deeds, Oba Adeoriyomi explained that investing in the leaders of tomorrow is a priceless endeavor.
“She’s always steadfast when it comes to supporting education in Ijede LCDA, and I want to commend her for being a force to reckon with on all fronts”.
“As you can see, the children are all excited to benefit from this course, it is something they’ll not forget in a hurry” Oba Adeoriyomi added
The distribution is billed to reach all primary public schools in the local council development area.
