In a significant step towards fostering growth and development within the diverse communities of Lagos State, Alhaji Amusat Azeez Aremu, Chairman of the Lagos State Community Development Advisory Council (LSCDAC), announced plans to collaborate closely with the Lagos state government.

This initiative aligns with the T.H.E.M.E.S plus agenda of the state’s leader, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Alhaji Amusat Aremu unveiled these intentions during the recent election and inauguration ceremony of the newly elected council executives, which took place on November 1st, 2023, at Alausa Ikeja, Lagos.

In his address, Alhaji Amusat emphasized the importance of leaving past disputes behind, particularly in the context of the elections leading up to the formation of the new council executives.

He stressed that the council will not tolerate internal conflicts that could obstruct its goals and objectives.

Alhaji Amusat Aremu also elaborated on the council’s commitment to enhancing its collaboration with the state government.

“The primary objective is to facilitate the transformation of rural areas into more developed sub-urban communities”.

“This alignment with the state government’s vision is expected to lead to significant improvements in community activities and overall quality of life for Lagos residents” he said.

To gain further insights into this development, Alhaji Amusat Aremu engaged with key figures in the Lagos state government, including Dr. Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, and Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development.

The cooperative approach disclosed by the new leadership is poised to bring about positive change and progress in the various communities of Lagos State, all in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S plus agenda.
