Brimming with honor and celebration, Representative Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives (MHR) Ikorodu federal constituency, has been officially inducted into the prestigious Ikorodu Division Hall of Fame.

The induction took place on the 8th of December 2023 at the Ikorodu Town Hall, a symbolic venue for the region.

During the brief ceremony, former Minister of Works and Chairman of Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG), Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, presented Rep. Benson with a special portrait, underscoring the lawmaker’s significant contributions to the development of Ikorodu division.

In a brief yet heartfelt speech, Rep. Benson expressed his gratitude for the rare privilege, emphasizing that the recognition serves as a powerful encouragement to continue working diligently for the greater good of his constituents.

He has gained prominence in Ikorodu as the “Julius Berger of Ikorodu,” showcasing his commitment by executing projects to attracting development through various means.

Sen. Ogunlewe, in his remarks, characterized the induction as a day of celebration for the heroes of the division, acknowledging Rep. Benson’s outstanding service to Ikorodu.

The ceremony brought together various stakeholders, Ikorodu local government chairmen, his loyal iCare foundation members led by Dean Sanwo-Ola and political figures from the region.

Grand Chief Iman Of Ikorodu Division, Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowooribi, Otunba Amid Adekunle Oduborisa, President of Oriwu Club, Alhaji Lawal Animashaun popularly known as De-Cubano, amongst others were in attendance.

Following his induction, Rep. Benson actively inspected the ICT department of the town hall, which serves as a hub for empowering youths.

He expressed his intention to collaborate with the IDRDG to enhance the department, emphasizing the importance of effective learning for the youth.

Rep. Benson concluded by disclosing his plans to ensure the overall maintenance of the town hall, demonstrating his dedication to the continued prosperity of Ikorodu division.
