ROYAL CHRISTMAS CAROL CELEBRATION IN IKORODU UNITES COMMUNITY IN JOYFUL FESTIVITY ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

18th December 2023, marked the auspicious celebration of the Royal Christmas Carol in Ikorodu, where HRM Oba (ENGR) Kabir Adewale and Olori Kudirat Abosede Shotobi joined hands with Patriarch Bolaji Methodist Cathedral Church to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The festivities commenced with a prayer led by Very Reverend Patriarch Bolaji Methodist Cathedral Choir, setting a spiritual tone for the event.

The Choir’s rendition of the opening hymn “OBANGIJI AWA TUN DE” resonated through the air, ushering in the joyous occasion.

Expressing gratitude, Very Rev. John O. Solubi acknowledged the royal couple for generously sharing in the celebration, extending warm welcomes to leaders, dignitaries, and the community at large.

The five-lesson Christmas Carol unfolded, each lesson accompanied by soul-stirring hymns.

HRM Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi actively participated by reading the first Bible lesson from Genesis 3:1-12, while the Choir harmoniously sang “GBO EDA ORUN NKORIN.”

Other notable community figures, including Otunba Ayodele Elesho, Prince Adeniyi Shotobi, Col. Nwakwo Rubel, and the Iya-Oloja General of Ikorodu division, Deacon Busola Isikalu, shared subsequent Bible readings.

In a heartfelt address, Otunba Ayodele Elesho expressed gratitude for the community’s support, emphasizing the significance of embracing others, giving gifts, and fostering unity.

He highlighted the tradition of the Royal Christmas Carol, now in its eighth year, as a testament to Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi’s commitment to peace and communal harmony.

Mr. Rotimi Erogbogbo, Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS), encouraged everyone to partake in the festivities, considering it a period of thanksgiving, joy, and reflection on the past year.

In his closing remarks, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi extended warm greetings to attendees, urging the community to embrace prayer, peace, and the happiness of those around them.

He emphasized the importance of spreading joy not only in families but also in streets and workplaces.

Chiefs, bales, and religious leaders, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for the Royal Christmas Carol celebration.

The event was a testament to the power of unity and shared celebration during the festive season.
