Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, emphasized the importance of religious unity as the state ushered in the new year.

According to Dr Agbaje, the Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu actively participated in Muslim prayers at the Lagos House Mosque on the 1st of January 2024, reinforcing the significance of embracing shared beliefs among Lagosians.

Dr. Agbaje, acknowledging this pivotal moment, stated, “Starting 2024 with a humble heart and in the spirit of harmony, Mr. Governor participated in the Muslim prayers at Lagos House Mosque with us.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a succinct message, underscored religious unity as a fundamental pillar for progress in Lagos State. “Our commitment to religious unity paves the way for progress in Lagos State,” he affirmed.

Encouraging Lagosians to unite beyond religious differences, the governor urged collective efforts towards the prosperity of the state in the coming year.
