FEDERAL LEGISLATOR REP. BABAJIMI BENSON BOOSTS IKORODU SCHOOLS WITH 75,000 EXERCISE BOOKS ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Aimed at positively shaping the educational landscape for the academic year 2024, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, fondly known as the ‘Julius Berger’ of Ikorodu, has made a significant contribution by donating 75,000 exercise books to schools across the six Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Ikorodu.

On the 18th of January 2024, Ikorodu News Network (INN) was on the scene at Imota LCDA, witnessing the distribution event orchestrated by Rep. Benson and his iCare foundation team, who generously provided around 30,000 books to 23 schools in the region.

Enthusiastic students from institutions such as U. N. A Primary School, Oke-Agbo, L.G. Primary School, Imota, St. John Anglican Primary School, Imota, and Abejoye Primary School, Igbokuta actively participated and benefited from the support scheme.

Mrs. Kemi Busola, Assistant Administrator at UNA School Oke Agbo, expressed her joy, describing Rep. Benson as a blessing to the entire Ikorodu division.

She emphasized the profound impact the donated books would have on improving the academic practices of the students.

Additionally, Mrs. Busola appealed to the federal lawmaker to extend support for infrastructural upgrades, specifically highlighting the need for a gated fence to enhance security within the school premises.

Rev. Nnamdi Owugwu, Assistant Chairman of the Parents Forum in Imota LCDA, conveyed his appreciation for the book distribution, assuring parents that their children’s academic needs were now well-catered for.

He offered prayers for Rep. Benson’s continued success in his career pursuits.

Princess Abisoye Owoduwo, Coordinator of iCare Foundation in Imota LCDA, underscored the program’s objective to assist parents in nurturing their children’s academic growth.

She commended Rep. Benson’s dedication not only to improving school infrastructures but also to enhancing overall student performance.

Addressing the students before the book distribution, she encouraged them to remain focused and disciplined, envisioning a future where they could follow in the footsteps of Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR as leaders.
