Demonstrating a display of collaboration, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the executive chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, joined forces with the transitional ruler of Agura Kingdom to distribute 18,000 notebooks to students across Agura-Gberigbe region.

This initiative marked the eve of the first anniversary of the Alagura of Agura Kingdom, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ahmed M. Olakunle Ogunnaike Ogunderu (Alagura of Agura II).

The distribution ceremony, a significant event held at the Methodist Primary School in Agura on January 19, 2024, showcased the active involvement of Hon. Adesina.

During the event, Adesina lauded the Alagura of Agura Land for his unique educational initiative and steadfast commitment to advancing education within the Agura Kingdom.

Hon. Adesina emphasized the importance of fostering brilliant minds and future leaders, praising the Alagura for his visionary approach that aligns with the principles of community development.

He pledged continuous and unwavering support from his administration towards the Alagura’s educational initiatives, solidifying their joint commitment to the educational upliftment of Agura.

Reciprocating the synergy, HRM Oba Ahmed M. Olakunle Ogunnaike Ogunderu, the Alagura of Agura, expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support of Hon. Wasiu Adesina in marking the first anniversary of his reign as king over Agura land.

The king commended the council boss for his leadership qualities and administrative approach that significantly contributed to the success of the celebration.

In his words of goodwill, the Alagura thanked Hon. Wasiu Adesina for his pivotal role and prayed for him to continue leading the council with the wisdom of God.

The collaboration extended beyond the book distribution as both the executive chairman and the Alagura of Agura Kingdom actively participated in a Special Jummah Service.

The service served as a poignant commemoration and celebration of the first anniversary of Alaiyeluwa Oba Ahmed M. Olakunle Ogunnaike Ogunderu, reinforcing the unity and shared commitment to the prosperity of Agura Kingdom.

“The convergence of administrative and traditional leaders in this common purpose exemplified the strength and collective vision driving Agura’s growth and development” Adesina told Ikorodu News Network (INN).
