In a momentous event on January 31, 2024, Bldr Sesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), initiated the construction of a state-of-the-art Legislative and Administrative Complex.

This ambitious project is poised to create an enabling environment for democratic functions, signifying a significant leap towards efficient governance in the region.

The project, expected to be completed within the next 12 months, garnered widespread attention, drawing dignitaries from across the region, including its Apex leader, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, and HRM, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo.

The foundation-laying ceremony featured prayers from clergymen, emphasizing unity and divine guidance for the success of the project.

Both Christian and Islamic religious leaders conducted prayer sessions, setting a harmonious tone for the groundbreaking event.

The council chairman, Bldr Daini expressed gratitude in his speech, emphasizing the project’s alignment with the budget and the imperative of providing a distinguished office for the legislative arm.

He assured the community of the project’s timely completion, expressing optimism for an earlier delivery through divine intervention.

In a bid to enhance community security, Builder Daini urged fellow council chairmen across Ikorodu division to prioritize residents’ well-being, encouraging them with the catchphrase ‘If you see something, Say something.’

The commitment of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA to educational development and overall community growth was reiterated by Bldr Daini, emphasizing the pivotal role of the new Legislative and Administrative Complex in fostering progress.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, praised Bldr Daini’s visionary initiative, foreseeing positive impacts on legislative performance and community development.

Council Leader, Hon. Alimi Nurudeen expressed gratitude for the conducive environment provided for the new legislative arm, highlighting the readiness for collaboration to support community growth.

Deputy Leader of the legislative chamber, Princess Basirat Adetutu, conveyed the excitement within the legislative body, describing the project as a joyous achievement during the era of Bldr Sesan Daini.

Engineer Adetola Olubunmi, the Council Engineer, reiterated the commitment to a timely completion of the project within the next 12 months, aligning with the council chairman’s earlier statement.

Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun commended Bldr Daini for his unwavering zeal to uplift the standard of living for residents in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.

He lauded the project as a legacy endeavor that history would speak well of, urging other council chairmen to emulate this transformative initiative.
