During a recent broadcast on his Kicconline channel's "Morning Glow" program, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo shared heartwarming updates on the preparations for the crusade, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to bringing hope and support to the rural world.
The Christ Compassion Crusade's preparations have been nothing short of remarkable. The dedicated team behind the event has already secured a significant quantity of essential supplies, including one thousand bags of Garri, 30 thousand bags of soaps, 24 thousand printed exercise books, 10 thousand buckets, 10 thousand bags of salt, 10 thousand bags of sugar, and two solid generators, one of which is a 350kVA powerhouse. 8ojhh78256470233576825639 It was another uplifting day for Education in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA as the only female councillor in the council's legislative chamber, Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko rehabilitated two classrooms and provided a water tank stand/Fetching Point for Methodist Primary School Igbogbo.
The project was commissioned on Friday the 22nd of September 2023 by Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya and presided over by the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Daini.
Receiving a high level of commendation from the school administration, Princess Basirat, the councillor of ward C1 and Deputy leader of Igbogbo Baiyeku legislative chamber, appreciated the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for a timeless mentorship. She also acknowledged Ikorodu apex leader, Asipa Kaoli, and her council boss, Bldr. Sesan Daini for leading the pack effectively, providing her with a palatable room to function.
Furthermore, she commended the Methodist primary school administration for cooperating with her towards the successful completion of the project.
According to Princess Basirat, the sole aim of the project is to help students by providing them with a better learning environment.
The program, themed; 'Maintaining A Clean Environment', she explained that the school is observing overpopulation, which causes inconveniences for pupils.
"It was due to those inconveniences that spurred me to get to work on facilitating the extra classrooms as a form of service to humanity," she said.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Princess Basirat illustrated that the school also lacked access to clean water which prompted her (as councillor of the ward) to provide the tank, stand and fetching point.
Urging the school administration to apply maintenance culture in preserving the resources, Princess pleads with everyone to imbibe the heart of giving.
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeki LCDA, Bldr. Sesan Daini, in his address dubbed the day celebratory, equally applauding the project facilitator, Princess Basirat Banjoko. Emphasising performance, Bldr Daini expressed his satisfaction towards all councillors in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA working and making things better in their numerous wards. Bringing his attention to Methodist Primary School, he said, "Seeing this project is a challenge to me!".
"As I've promised, Methodist Primary School building renovation with fully equipped furniture, and building of 8 toilets which will be commissioned in the next 50 days" Bldr Daini said.
The council boss asserted the party's developmental mandate for communities will continue to reflect in his administration as voiced during his campaign. Before commissioning the project, Chief Kaoli Olusanya praised Princess Basirat Adetutu for prioritising education, explaining that education is the first way to escape poverty.
He further encouraged the administrators of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA not to relent in fulfilling their mandate because it is a way of giving hope to the people.

The council boss made the statement on Thursday, 14th of September 2023, as he concluded the distribution of 50,000 academic materials to the 13 public schools in the Local Council Development Area.
In all, 12,000 students benefited from the undertaking which lasted for 3 days straight.
Tasty for more development, the council chief took the medium to tour all the schools under his jurisdiction.
According to Bldr Daini, the program was also a medium for him to do a need assessment across all the schools, to detect areas that require the council's attention.
The last phase of the distribution touched down on Anglican primary school in Offin community, Lajo community primary school and Oreta Local Government primary school.
It was a double blessing for Oreta Primary School because barely a week ago, the chairman commissioned a 5-block classroom which he built for the school, in the space of 42 days after laying its foundation.
He explains, "With the removal of the fuel subsidy, we augmented plans to calm the hardship of our people for the new government to take shape".
"We have distributed food items to residents, but children cannot be left behind, that's why we came up with this program to distribute educational materials to all 13 schools in our LCDA".
"Today, we have successfully distributed 50,000 items to 12,000 students, which is part of my promise to deliver a dividend of democracy to the good people of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA".
"We asked the students to return home and thank their parents because the parents made it possible for me to be the chairman and perform my duties effectively via their votes".
"Growing up, both my primary and secondary school education was in public schools, that's why my quest is to uphold the standard of our public institutions by ensuring that we provide the necessities required for our children to learn in a serene environment, because who knows? Some of them could end up becoming the president of this nation in the future"
As we continue to work towards alleviating the present hardship, I want to urge our people to be patient with this government, because before the end of this year, things will be normalizing positively for us" Bldr Daini said.
On the path of administrators, Mrs Adesanwo Adesola, Head Mistress of Loja primary school conveyed her satisfaction over the chairman's support, adding that most of the student's parents could not provide the materials for their children as they resumed.
She explained that not long ago, the council boss facilitated the construction of the school's new perimeter wall fence, which has prevented hoodlums from making the school unsafe for pupils.
Advisingother council chairman to emulate Bldr. Daini, Mrs Adesola affirmed that based on his leadership quality, the chairman will prosper more career-wise.
Mrs Buraimoh S.O, Head Teacher of Oreta primary school told Ikorodu News Network (INN), that with the present state of the nation, Bldr Daini can be deemed a God-sent to the children of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.

daia 18084709892168747797 Following the completion of the distribution of 50,000 educational materials across schools in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, the executive chairman, Bldr Sesan Daini has stated plans to further improve the educational sector of the Local Council Development Area.
The council boss made the statement on the 14th of September 2023, explaining that the just concluded 3-day academic support program, allowed him to move around the 13 schools under his jurisdiction, to ascertain their challenges and provide solutions.
According to Bldr. Daini, "Now that we are done providing books for 12,000 students, we will go back to review other pressing needs we observed across the schools during the program to see what can do to help them".
"Among the schools we observed, Methodist primary school Igbogbo will be having a full renovation with furniture for 5 classrooms, plus we're going to provide them with a standard toilet".
"In Salvation Army school, we will equally renovate the 6 classrooms and also provide them with a standard toilet".
"Methodist primary school Elepe 1/2 will be getting 6-8 toilets, and in Salvation Army school Agunfoye, we'll provide them with classrooms and toilets amongst other schools we've deemed due for enhancement.
"In summary, we're saying NO to illiteracy in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, we're saying NO to children dropping out of school, we're saying NO to our children lacking school materials and lacking the right learning environment" Bldr. Daini said.
The chairman further stated that in the process of enhancing the schools, hardworking teachers would get financial assistance.
