Demonstrating unwavering commitment to the well-being of his constituents, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, fulfilled his promise by distributing 150 bags of 50kg rice to residents affected by the 2023 flood in Kosofe, Ikosi-Isheri, and Agboyi-Ketu.

The impacted communities, including Odo-Ogun, Ajegunle, Owode-Elede, Osho-Ogun, Agboyi-town, Agiliti 2, Maidan, Orisha/Isheri, Ajegunle/Idera/Kiokio, Isheri-North, Akinpelu, Oworo coastal area, Ogudu, Ojota, and Mende, received the much-needed relief.

The collaborative effort between Senator Abiru’s office, three Local Government Authorities, community and political leaders, and the Community Development Committee (CDC) ensured the efficient distribution of the rice.

This act of humanitarianism is just one among Senator Abiru’s numerous gestures towards his constituents.

The senator, known for his quarterly Food Packs Programme benefiting thousands of households across the 16 LGAs/LCDAs in the Lagos East Senatorial District, continues to prioritize the welfare of vulnerable members of society.

During the handover ceremony, Otunba Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle, PhD, representing Senator Abiru, received expressions of gratitude from council chairmen Hon. Dele Oshinowo (Agboyi-Ketu), Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada (Ikosi-Isheri), and Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe (Kosofe LGA).
