COMMISSIONER FOR MCCTI EMPOWERS LAGOS EXPORTERS AT CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM FOR PRODUCT EXPORT TO USA ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Striding towards enhancing local production capacity for exports under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), the Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade & Investment (MCCTI) attended a two-day capacity building program on product export to the USA.

The event, organized by Africa Import & Export Solutions Limited in partnership with Export and Sell USA, took place from Wednesday, 6th, to Thursday, 7th March 2024, in Lagos, with the theme “Export To Wealth.”

During the program, the Commissioner emphasized Lagos State’s commitment to growing local production capacity to meet export demands within the framework of AfCFTA.

She highlighted ongoing efforts by the State Government to encourage exporters to leverage the Agreement and other platforms for international trade.

Addressing the audience, the Commissioner conveyed the State’s dedication to actively engaging Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the AfCFTA market.

She underlined the importance of the training program, organized by Africa Import and Export Solutions and Export and Sell USA, in equipping MSMEs with essential knowledge on export processes, procedures, and opportunities.

“The State’s partnership in this program is a testament to our commitment to empowering local businesses and ensuring they are well-prepared to tap into global markets,” said the Commissioner.

The theme “Export To Wealth” resonated with the State’s vision of fostering economic growth through strategic export initiatives.

As Lagos continues to position itself as a hub for international trade, the collaboration with Africa Import & Export Solutions and Export and Sell USA signifies a step forward in providing valuable resources to local businesses, enabling them to thrive in the competitive landscape of global trade.
