In the dynamic landscape of Lagos, where culture thrives and innovation flourishes, DLong Media emerges as a pivotal force in nurturing talent and fostering creativity.

Founded in late 2020 by the visionary Mr. Adedayo Longe, amidst the waning grip of the COVID-19 pandemic, DLong Media has swiftly ascended to become one of Nigeria’s premier film and art academies.

Nestled in the heart of Maryland, Lagos State, DLong Media’s sprawling 7-space capacity duplex serves as a hub for aspiring creatives in film, art, and media.

Over its tenure, the institute has successfully molded over 2,000 students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in their respective fields.

In an exclusive interview with Ikorodu News Network (INN) on March 13, 2024, Mr. Adedayo Longe highlighted the institute’s commitment to excellence.

With a team of 12 distinguished lecturers, each bringing a wealth of experience, DLong Media offers a comprehensive curriculum across 6 unique studios.

These facilities encompass dedicated spaces for intellectual training, an editing suite, a professional photo studio, a makeup studio, a sound/recording studio, and a TV production studio set.

“We offer a wide range of courses spanning creative and applied arts, performing arts, music, film production and management, digital marketing, branding, and marketing communications,” explained Mr. Longe.

“Our aim is to provide students with not just theoretical knowledge but practical skills that empower them to succeed in the competitive media industry.”

In a bid to further expand its reach and impact, DLong Media is on the verge of finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lagos State University (LASU).

This collaboration will enable the institute to offer training programs to a broader spectrum of students, thereby enhancing opportunities for skill development and employment.

Mr. Longe also expressed DLong Media’s willingness to collaborate with the government on youth empowerment initiatives.

By leveraging its resources and expertise, the institute seeks to play a pivotal role in driving socio-economic growth and development in the region.

“DLong School of Arts, Films, and Communications is more than just an academy; it’s a catalyst for creativity and innovation,” affirmed Mr. Longe.

With its state-of-the-art facilities, esteemed faculty, and unwavering dedication to nurturing talent, DLong Media continues to inspire and empower the next generation of media professionals, not only in Nigeria but on a global scale.
