President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, set to celebrate his 72nd birthday on March 29, 2024, has urged well-wishers not to mark the occasion with grand gestures.

In a statement conveyed through his aide, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu emphasized that the day signifies an essential milestone in his journey as a leader and statesman.

Given the current challenges facing the nation, Tinubu, as the leader, has opted not to host any birthday festivities.

He expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment of his leadership role but urged against organizing celebratory events or placing congratulatory advertisements in his honor.

Instead, he encouraged well-wishers to redirect any intended gestures to charitable organizations in his name.

Acknowledging recent security incidents and expressing solidarity with the armed forces, especially in resolving kidnapping cases, Tinubu vowed to focus on strengthening the country’s stability, security, prosperity, and unity in the upcoming year.
