REP. BENSON COMMENDED AS NASFAT HOLDS RAMADAN PUBLIC LECTURE & PRAYER SESSION ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

NASFAT Ikorodu Branch conducted its 2nd Annual Ramadan public lecture on March 23, 2024, in recognition of the contributions made by Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives for Ikorodu federal constituency.

The event aimed to commend his efforts towards the advancement of Ikorodu and its surroundings.

During the ceremony, Rep. Babajimi Benson received commendations for his generous commitment to acquire a modern facility for the NASFAT Health Centre in Ikorodu.

Additionally, he distributed over 500 food packages to Muslims during Ramadan.

The prayer session, organized by the Missioner and NASFAT Ikorodu Branch members, included recitations from the Holy Qur’an to express gratitude to Hon. Babajimi Benson for his support and goodwill towards the organization.

Guest speaker Fadilat Sheikh al Khalifah Buhary Yahaya Salaty (Khalifah-Ameerul Jaish) delivered an engaging discourse on “Maintaining Health and Well-being: An Islamic Perspective.”

He highlighted various ways individuals can lead healthy lives in accordance with Islamic teachings, such as consuming nutritious foods, wearing appropriate attire, engaging in physical exercise, and participating in activities that promote overall well-being.

Sheikh Buhary Yahaya Salaty also emphasized the significance of Ramadan in strengthening Muslims’ connection with Allah and fostering healthier habits.

Imam Qazeem Olajide Abdul Razak, the lead Missioner of NASFAT Ikorodu branch, underscored Ramadan’s importance for personal growth and spiritual development, likening it to a school where individuals continually learn and apply lessons throughout the year.

Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola, representing Hon. Babajimi Benson through the DG icare Foundation, urged Muslims to utilize Ramadan to pray for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and emphasized the importance of community support.

Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola also highlighted the ongoing efforts of the iCare Foundation in providing monthly food items to the community for the past eight years and stressed the importance of leaders leading by example.

Prince Wasiu Kunle-Agoro, Executive chairman of Imota LCDA, speaking with Ikorodu News Network INN, emphasized the program’s essence as a collective prayer for Nigeria and its leaders to fulfill their duties effectively.

Elder statesman and Chief Publisher of Oriwu Newspaper, Alhaji Monzor Olowosago reiterated the need for continuous prayers for Nigeria’s prosperity despite challenges, mentioning Rep. Benson’s absence due to security concerns as he chairs the House Committee on Defence.

Dr. Abiodun Fatai Abatan, Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Aarebirin Hon. (Dr) Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, Alhaji Amusa Olawale MT, Proprietor Homat Group of Schools and other dignitaries, along with a large turnout of Islamic worshippers, attended the event at the federal lawmaker’s constituency office.

In conclusion, welfare packages were distributed to attendees as part of Rep. Babajimi Benson’s efforts to alleviate hardships among his constituents.
