In an exclusive interview with Ikorodu News Network (INN) on March 31, 2024, Ayetoro Community Development Association (CDA) Chairman, Otunba Olusesan Kajero, unveiled a comprehensive plan aimed at advancing the community’s development.

Otunba Kajero emphasized the importance of both local leadership and governmental support in propelling Ayetoro forward.

Among the key initiatives outlined by Otunba Kajero is a youth security sensitization program slated for April, aiming to educate and empower the youth to actively participate in maintaining security within the community.

Additionally, the CDA intends to foster indigenous productivity by creating employment opportunities for artisans, thereby stimulating economic growth from within the community.

Highlighting the importance of communal engagement and recreational activities, Otunba Kajero announced plans for an inter-zone community sports competition scheduled for August 2024.

This initiative aims to promote unity and healthy competition among residents while fostering a sense of belonging and community pride.

However, Otunba Kajero also shed light on the challenges facing Ayetoro, particularly the ongoing construction of the new CDA secretariat building.

He emphasized the need for support from both local leadership and governmental agencies to expedite the completion of the project, stressing its potential to serve as a hub for social activities that could generate revenue for the community.

Addressing infrastructure concerns, Otunba Kajero expressed gratitude for the improved power supply but noted the necessity for an additional transformer to alleviate the strain on the existing infrastructure.

Furthermore, he underscored the importance of quality roads and adequate drainage systems to enhance accessibility and mitigate flooding issues within the community.

In conclusion, Otunba Kajero extended his appreciation to his Executive Committee members, the Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo, as well as his predecessors, Rep. Babajimi Benson, MHR, and Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, for their unwavering support in advancing the development agenda of Ikorodu division.
