
In furtherance of the palliative measures of the Lagos State Government, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has graciously granted a ninety (90) day amnesty period to property owners and developers of existing developments (completed) in different parts of the State to allow them obtain Planning Permit (Approvals) without payment of statutory Penal fees.
The Amnesty period is expected to last for 90 days, from 2nd May to 30th July 2024, as a relief measure from the State Government to cushion the effect of the current economic hardship being experienced in the built environment.
In line with the amnesty programme, Applicants are expected to submit for assessment the under listed documents through District Offices of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) in the 57 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State, and the Electronic Planning Permit (EPP) office, domiciled at the Lagos State Physical PlanningPermit Authority (LASPPPA) Headquarters, Oba Akinjobi Way, G.R.A ikeja:
i. Title document/proof of ownership
ii. Survey plan.
iii. As-built Architectural Drawings.
iv. Structural, Electrical, and mechanical drawings (whereapplicable).
v. Non-Destructive Integrity Test Report (where applicable).
vi. Letter of structural stability and indemnity (where
applicabile)
vii. Land Use Planning Analysis Report.
viii. Applicants must be tax compliant.
ix. Other supporting documents where applicable.
Please note that amnesty would be considered for only those with all documents stated above. A 5% discount would also apply to payment completed within ten (10) working days of issuance of bill.
The Lagos State Government enjoins owners of all completed buildings in the State to take advantage of the amnesty programme and regularise their developments by obtaining Planning Permits (Building Plan Approvals) on their existing buildings.
It is noteworthy that every application will be treated on its merit, in compliance with Operative Development Plans of the State as stipulated in the Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law, 2019 as amended, and the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Regulations 2019 (as amended).
