REP. BABAJIMI BENSON  HOSTS 2ND QUARTER STAKEHOLDERS MEETING TO TACKLE COMMUNITY CONCERNS ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

In his continuous bid to address the pressing needs of his constituents, Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Benson, MHR, convened a pivotal stakeholders meeting on April 18th, 2024.

The gathering took place at the constituency office of the federal lawmaker, serving as a platform for residents to directly engage with their representative.

The meeting drew crowd, with notable attendees including Alhaji Waheed Animashaun, the APC Party Chairman in Ikorodu LGA, Otunba Ayo James, and APC Party Chairman in Ikorodu West.

Additionally, women leaders, youth representatives, ward chairmen and executives were present, reflecting a broad spectrum of community voices.

At the engagement, Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola, the Director-General of iCare foundation, extended a warm welcome to the constituents, emphasizing the importance of active participation in shaping the community’s future.

According to him, the meeting’s primary objective was to foster transparent communication and ensure that the concerns of the people are heard and addressed effectively.

On his path, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, also Chairman of the House Committee on Defense, expressed appreciation for the continuous support of Ikorodu Division, reiterating the government’s commitment to enacting positive change.

He pledged to carefully consider each issue raised during the meeting, emphasizing the government’s dedication towards infrastructure improvement and overall development within the constituency.

Furthermore, he announced plans for regular engagement, scheduling future stakeholders’ meetings in every four months.

“This initiative underscores the importance of ongoing dialogue and proactive governance in driving meaningful progress” He asserted.

Stakeholders from various wards commended Rep. Benson for his tireless efforts in advancing infrastructure, development, and security across Ikorodu Division.

They urged him to persist in prioritizing initiatives that uplift the community and enhance residents’ quality of life.

The meeting also saw the participation of other esteemed figures, including Bldr. Sesan Daini, Executive chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Adeola Adebisi Banjo, Executive chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Mr. Taiwo Orenuga, APC party chairman in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA amongst others.

Their presence highlighted the collaborative approach towards addressing community needs and fostering inclusive growth.

In his closing remarks, Rep. Babajimi  Benson encouraged stakeholders to actively engage in local initiatives aimed at societal improvement.

The meeting ended with a renewed sense of unity and commitment to working together towards a brighter future for Ikorodu Division.
