
Working effectively to alleviate the electricity challenges faced by communities across Lagos State, Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, has shed light on the significance of the Lagos State Government’s Rural Electrification Initiative.
This initiative, he explained, serves as a vital palliative measure to mitigate the hardships experienced by residents.
Dr Agbaje emphasized that the Rural Electrification Initiative is an alternative measure implemented by the government to ensure broader community support.
Under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the government is steadfast in its commitment to fostering economic stability and security for all Lagosians.
The recent distribution of ten brand new transformers to select communities marks a significant step forward in addressing electricity challenges.
Dr Agbaje highlighted that these transformers will serve thousands of households, effectively isolating them from the persistent issue of power shortages.
Enumerating the communities slated to receive transformers in the coming weeks, Dr. Agbaje outlined a strategic rollout plan. These communities include Ogo Oluwakitan Community in Ikotun/Igando, Progressive New Layout in Badagry, Ajagbe CDA in Olorunda, Toriloyin CDA in Olorunda, Olive Garden CDA in Eti-Osa, Taro Legun CDA in Ibeju-Lekki, Owu CDA in Ibeju-Lekki, Oke Olokun CDA in Ibeju-Lekki, and Laaga CDA in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.
In reaffirming the government’s commitment to the welfare and safety of residents, Dr. Agbaje reiterated Governor Sanwo-Olu’s dedication to prioritizing the needs of the populace.
