The opening game of the Chairman’s Cup 2024 was an exhilarating showdown that held spectators spellbound for the entire 90 minutes, ultimately ending with the Adeboruwa Estate Team securing a slender 1-0 victory over Adegbose FC.
The clash, held at the Eleja Primary School stadium on the 1st of May 2024, showcased the raw talent and competitive spirit of local football teams within the Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.

Despite their efforts, Adeboruwa Estate Team’s initial goal was disallowed by the referee due to an offside call.
The pivotal moment arrived when Ayomide Iremide, adorned in the Number 8 jersey for Adeboruwa, seized an opportune moment to slot home the only goal of the match, propelling his team into the lead.
