Residents of Ikorodu division have expressed immense gratitude towards Senator Adetokunbo Abiru for his generous distribution of welfare packages to mark the Eid el Kabir celebrations.
On June 13, 2024, the distribution of 8,500 welfare packages at Ikorodu Secretariat of Senator Abiru provided much-needed relief to numerous families.
The initiative, aimed at supporting families during the festive season—including the elderly, youths, children, and people with special needs—has garnered widespread appreciation across various local government (LG) and local council development areas (LCDAs) in the Ikorodu division.
Beneficiaries from Ikorodu Central, Ikorodu West LCDA, Ikorodu North LCDA, and Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, in interviews with Ikorodu News Network (INN), voiced their gratitude towards the Lagos East Senatorial District administrator for his consistent efforts to empower the community.
In Ikorodu West LCDA, residents like Mrs. Amina Balogun and Mr. Adewale Akinyemi praised Senator Abiru for his consistent support.
Mrs. Balogun remarked, “Senator Abiru’s contributions have made a significant difference in our lives, especially during festive periods like Eid el Kabir.”
From Ikorodu North LCDA, Mr. Olalekan Akintoye and Mrs. Funmi Adeyemi highlighted the impact of the welfare packages on their households.
“The senator’s generosity has brought joy to many families. We are grateful for his dedication to the well-being of his constituents,” said Mr. Akintoye.
Residents of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, including Mr. Tunde Adebayo and Mrs. Rashidat Salami, also commended the initiative.
“Senator Abiru’s commitment to our community is commendable. His efforts during this period have truly lightened our burdens,” noted Mrs. Salami.
In Ikorodu Central, Mrs. Sikirat Ogundele expressed their heartfelt thanks.
“The welfare packages have been a blessing to us, and we appreciate Senator Abiru’s kindness and continuous support,” said Mrs. Ogundele.
According to Mr. Enitan Olukotun, the special media aide to Senator Abiru, “Senator Adetokunbo Abiru’s distribution of welfare packages is part of his broader commitment to improving the lives of residents in the Lagos East Senatorial District”.
