Hon. Alimi commended Builder Daini for his visionary leadership and contributions to the LCDA, noting his pivotal role in the area’s redevelopment.

While acknowledging the collaborative efforts of the legislative body, he highlighted that Daini’s innovative ideas have been key to the LCDA’s transformation.

Alimi urged future leaders to follow Daini’s example to ensure continued progress in the community.

Hon. Hakeem Sholawon provided a brief history of Market Street during the legislative session, supporting the renaming as a tribute to Daini’s remarkable efforts.

He remarked, “I know how the area was before and how it has improved under our Chairman’s leadership.”

Princess Adetutu Banjoko, the Deputy Leader, recounted the moment during the last Ojude Oba celebration when High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, first proposed renaming the street after Daini.

She emphasized the widespread joy among residents upon hearing this suggestion while explaining that the legislative process was necessary to formalize the decision.

Hon. Mathew Kolawole Arowolo, Majority Leader, formally moved the motion to rename Market Street in recognition of Builder Daini’s lasting contributions to the community.

The motion, seconded by Princess Banjoko, was unanimously approved, officially renaming the street “Comrade Olusesan Daini” in honor of his leadership since 2017, during which the LCDA has seen remarkable growth in various sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development.

The session also addressed community issues such as the erection of barriers on Market Street, the need for action on Oluwo Amoju, and urgent intervention on Demeke Street to improve traffic and pedestrian flow.

Hon. Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, the first Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, and current Baba Oloja General of Igbogbo Kingdom, expressed deep admiration for Daini’s work, noting that his leadership has significantly uplifted the local government and brought new life to Market Street.

Mr. Badmus L.O, Council Manager, described the legislative session as productive and insightful, while Alhaji Ibiyeye Rasaq, Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), praised Daini’s dedication, stating, “Builder Olusesan Daini has done great work in our local government, and today’s session reflects that.”
