
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Builder Sesan Daini, led members of the LCDA’s legislative and executive arms on a thank-you visit to Ikorodu’s Apex Leader, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun.
The visit was to formally express appreciation for Asiwaju Basorun’s recent donation of three plots of land in Igbogbo for the establishment of a mini General Hospital, a project aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to enhance healthcare accessibility.
The donated land, located behind Eleja School in Igbogbo, marks a significant contribution to the community’s development, as the upcoming mini General Hospital is expected to provide essential healthcare services to residents who previously had limited access to medical facilities nearby.
Chairman Bldr Sesan Daini emphasized that the new hospital will play a vital role in addressing healthcare needs, reduce travel time for emergency care, and improve general health outcomes for residents within the LCDA.
During the visit, Bldr Daini, accompanied by council members, highlighted the project’s importance and the substantial impact it will have on the community.
He praised Asiwaju Basorun’s consistent support and commitment to the progress of Igbogbo Baiyeku, recognizing that the land donation represents a legacy of service and generosity that will benefit current and future generations.
Asiwaju Basorun, a respected elder statesman in Ikorodu, expressed his joy at seeing the project come to fruition on his donated land.
He encouraged the council to continue prioritizing initiatives that improve the quality of life for Igbogbo’s residents and assured his support for future development efforts.
This project, spearheaded by Olorunfunmi Basorun, in collaboration with Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, reflects a growing focus on healthcare infrastructure within Ikorodu Division.
The proposed hospital is expected to house essential facilities to handle general medical services, maternal care, and minor surgeries, making quality healthcare more accessible to residents of Igbogbo and surrounding areas.
