The event, attended by over 1,500 Muslim faithful, reinforced the spiritual significance of Ramadan while emphasizing the need for unity, peace, and socio-economic advancement within the Muslim community.

As part of the occasion, Ramadan packages from Senator Abiru were distributed to all attendees, and prayers were offered for the nation’s leadership, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and other political and religious leaders.

Represented by his Special Adviser on Constituency Matters, Dr. (Otunba) Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle, Senator Abiru emphasized that the Ramadan Lecture Series had served as more than just a religious gathering but a platform for reflection, dialogue, and the promotion of peace, love, and unity.

“This year’s lecture series has been a veritable platform for the Muslim community to reflect on the collective advancement of Muslims and society at large. Through these gatherings, we have strengthened our bond, encouraged dialogue on Islamic values, and reinforced the principles of peace and communal harmony that Islam preaches.”

He urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their devotion beyond Ramadan, continue supporting one another, and uphold the spirit of charity and kindness.

“As we approach the end of this sacred month, let us not relent in our devotion. Let the lessons of Ramadan remain with us beyond these 30 days. Let us continue to support one another, extend kindness to the needy, and pray for the peace and prosperity of our dear nation, Nigeria.”

He further called on the faithful to pray for the nation’s leaders, including President Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu, and all those in positions of authority, to guide them in delivering progress and prosperity to the country.

The grand event was graced by prominent personalities, including: Hon. Mrs. Adebimpe Akinsola (Former Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism and Special Adviser on Arts & Culture); Hon. Olusegun Olulade (Former Lagos State House of Assembly Member); Alhaja Sherifat Abiodun Ogunniyi; Alhaji Musiliu Sulaiman; Mr. Enitan Olukotun (Media Aide to Senator Abiru) and Other esteemed Islamic scholars, traditional leaders, and political figures
