APC STAGES GRAND CAMPAIGN PARADE ACROSS IKORODU CONSTITUENCY II AHEAD OF LOCAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS ~ INN Nigeria ☆

IKORODU, LAGOS | July 8, 2025 — The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Constituency II took to the streets in a vibrant display of unity and political momentum on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, as it organized a high-impact mega rally in preparation for the forthcoming Lagos State Local Government elections set for Saturday, July 12.

Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro, representing Ikorodu Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly; Builder Sesan Daini, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA; and other key stakeholders came out in full force to mobilize support for the party’s victory.

The campaign was aimed at galvanizing grassroots support for the local government aspirants in Ikorodu Constituency II: Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the incumbent Chairman of Ijede LCDA; Hon. Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun from Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA; and Hon. Benson Sunday Adeyemi from Imota LCDA.

The event began on a cultural and spiritual note with a courtesy visit to the palace of the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali.

The monarch offered prayers and royal blessings to all APC chairmanship and councillorship aspirants across the Igbogbo/Bayeku, Ijede, and Imota Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

He emphasized peace, safety, and impactful leadership during the campaign trail and beyond.

“As you embark on this journey, may harmony accompany your efforts, may your campaigns be fruitful, and may your aspirations deliver growth and prosperity to our communities,” Oba Kasali pronounced.

Following the blessing, a wave of excitement swept through the constituency as thousands of APC loyalists flooded the streets in a massive show of solidarity.

Supporters—including youth organizations, artisans, traders, students, and grassroots groups—paraded through major roads, waving brooms, chanting pro-APC slogans, and showcasing party symbols in a lively, carnival-like procession.

The rally kicked off from Adeboruwa’s palace at 9 a.m. and proceeded through key routes such as Oba Molaja Ogunlewe Road, Poro Agbaje, Elepe, Ginti, Okeletu, and Ijede before reaching Abule Eko.

The convoy then moved to Gberigbe and culminated at Ita-Ajina in Imota, where the three LCDAs converged for the official unveiling of their respective candidates.

Party leaders who addressed the teeming crowd called on residents to come out in full force on election day to ensure a sweeping victory for the APC.

They reiterated the party’s unwavering focus on grassroots development, welfare initiatives, and infrastructural advancement.

Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro, speaking to the enthusiastic gathering, encouraged eligible voters—particularly the youth—not to stay on the sidelines.

“We have witnessed significant achievements in Ikorodu Division under the APC. Now is the time to build on those successes. Let’s vote APC across the board to sustain this momentum of development,” he declared.

The rally featured traditional music performances, cultural dances, and energetic campaign chants.

Streets were lined with party-branded materials, banners, and colourful attire, creating a festive and politically charged environment that drew the attention of residents and commuters alike.

With just days remaining until the local council polls, this mega rally has reinvigorated the APC base and sent a resounding signal of the party’s readiness and strength heading into the elections.
