Ijede, Ikorodu – July 8, 2025 — As the countdown to the July 12 local government elections continues, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has expressed heartfelt appreciation to party members and supporters for their overwhelming turnout at the party’s mega campaign rally held across Ikorodu Constituency II.
Despite torrential rains on the day of the rally, party loyalists came out in large numbers on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, to show their unwavering support for Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba’s reelection bid for a second term in office.
The rally witnessed a large convergence of party leaders, members, and grassroots mobilizers who moved from street to street across the nooks and crannies of the region to drum up support ahead of the crucial election.
Addressing the crowd, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba commended the commitment and enthusiasm displayed by the party faithful.
“I am deeply touched by the show of love and support, even in the face of the rain. Your resilience and dedication speak volumes about our shared vision for progress in Ijede LCDA,” she said.
The chairman further charged party members not to relent in their efforts, urging them to go from house to house, ward to ward, to galvanize even greater support from the electorate.
“Let’s keep the fire burning. We must take this message of continuity and development into every home and every ward. Our goal is a landslide victory on July 12,” she emphasized.
Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba also extended her sincere appreciation to Hon. Moshood Abiodun Aro, the Member representing Ikorodu Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, for his active support and presence at the rally.
She noted his pivotal role in energizing the base and driving mobilization efforts across the constituency.
In addition, she recognized and applauded several prominent party leaders who graced the rally, including Alhaji Salisu Jimoh, former Chairman of Ijede LCDA; Bldr Sesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA; Hon. Femi Kareem, Vice Chairman of Ijede LCDA; and other key stakeholders for their steadfast commitment to the party’s success.
Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba is widely acknowledged for her trailblazing leadership as the only female executive chairman in Ikorodu Division.
Her first term has been marked by impactful projects in infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth development, and social welfare, making her reelection campaign one rooted in continuity and progressive governance.
