908uuio7469938540975247857 Special Adviser to the National Youth Leader of the party, Asiwaju Saheed Oloko has called on the Ogun State government to increase its support for the Food Crops Marketing Board (FCMB) to enable the Board to scale up the production capacity of its Gateway Food Processing hub to from one tonne to five tonnes per week.
Oloko, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made the call when he visited the Special Assistant to the Governor on FCMB and Team Lead, Gateway Foods, Hon. Abdul Majeed Junaid in his Office at the M.K.O Abiola International Trade Fair Complex, Abeokuta stating that the enormous opportunities of the Food Processing hub were currently underutilised due to low production capacity.
Oloko Saheed remarked that an increase in the production capacity of the hub would "invariably give more youths access to gainful employment as well as increase food security for the good people of the state and earn great revenue for the state both locally and internationally".
He commended the impact of Hon. Junaid as Team Lead of the Board for his dynamic leadership which helped Gateway Foods birth Gateway Fufu Powder, Gateway Garri and Gateway Ofada Rice adding that the Team Lead was an example that the youth inclusion drive of the present administration was a step in the right direction which should be continued during the second tenure of Governor Abiodun.
Oloko stated that the National Youth Leader of the Party, Hon. Dayo Israel was proud of the Special Assistant assuring that the Office of the National Youth Leader would collaborate with the Food Crops Marketing Board as soon as the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu assumes Office. Also speaking, the Special Assistant to the Governor on FCMB and Team Lead Gateway Foods, Hon. Abdul Majeed Junaid said the production capacity of the Gateway Food Processing hub when increased to five tonnes would make the hub self-sufficient without recourse to the State government for operational and running costs adding that the three products produced at the hub, Gateway Fufu Powder, Gateway Garri and Gateway Ofada Rice were attracting demand from customers locally and internationally, specifically in Ogun State, Kogi and Lagos State, Abuja, the United Kingdom, Ghana and South Africa respectively.
He noted that the products were already placing Ogun State on the global map as a leading Cassava and Rice producing State as well as boosting food security and employment generation.

fb img 16826702367027162383552318111190 President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Thursday in Abuja, met with the All Progressives Congress governors who paid him a courtesy visit and urged them to work with the party leadership and lawmakers on the election of principal officers of the National Assembly.
"We thank God Almighty for our electoral victory. It was tough and turbulent. "The challenge before us is working in unison with the party leadership and the National Assembly over the election of their principal officers. And I charge you to unite in spirit and faith and work in line with the party," he said.
The President-elect told the governors and former governorship candidates of the party that "whether you return or not, this is our government.
"Once we know what we are doing and communicating as elected leaders and loyal party men, we will conquer the challenge."
He reiterated his earlier admonitions that, as leaders, they were elected to serve the people and humanity with fairness and justice.
Sounding emotional, he expressed gratitude to God that he, "the first Muslim minority from the South-West got the blessing of Allah to be elected president."
Dismissing speculations about his health, the President-elect said "All speculation has perished and their purveyors brought to shame."
The Chairman of the Progressive Governors who is also the governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, led his colleagues to Tinubu's residence. Among those in attendance were Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima and Governors Simon Lalong (Plateau), Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Aminu Bello Masari (Katsina), Hope Uzodinnma (Imo), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa), Babajide Sanwo-olu (Lagos), Ben Ayade (CrossRivers), Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq (Kwara), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti).
There were also the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Kelechi Igwe and the APC governorship candidate in Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.
Governor Bagudu said the visit was to congratulate Asiwaju Tinubu on the election, extend goodwill to him over the end of the Ramadan Fast and welcome him back from his recent travel and celebrate with him. He also said, however, that the governors were ready for any assignment the President-elect may give them.
On the task concerning the election of presiding officers of the National Assembly, he pledged that the governor would continue to discuss and work with the party and the lawmakers to arrive at the best decision in the interest of the country.

The visit was to congratulate the Commissioner, Hon Funmi Efuwape on the victory of the party both at the national and state levels as a stakeholder in the party. Also worked to extend the goodwill of Hon Dayo Israel to stakeholders in the state, the visit seized the medium to sensitise on the resolve of the youths under Dayo Israel's leadership to contribute meaningful quota to the success of the APC-led administration across the board.
The Honourable Commissioner expressed her warm nice regards in having the youth delegates at her office. She also admired the National Youth Leader for his doggedness in coordinating the youths strategically in the course of the last electioneering process, commending the National Youth Leader for appointing Saheed Oloko, a noble son of Ogun State as the SA on Youth Engagement with gratitude.
