The National Association of Ikorodu Division Students (NAIDS-NATIONAL) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected Chairmen of Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across Ikorodu Division following their resounding victories at the polls, successful inauguration ceremonies, and formal assumption of office.
In an official statement signed by the NAIDS-NATIONAL Executives Council, the association expressed joy over the peaceful transition and reaffirmed its readiness to partner with the new administrations in driving student-focused and youth-inclusive policies that will shape the future of the division.
“Your emergence is a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in you by the good people of your respective LGA/LCDA across our dear Ikorodu Division,” the association stated.
“We celebrate this milestone as a new chapter in grassroots governance and community advancement, particularly in the educational sector.”
Emphasizing the urgent need for transformative leadership at the grassroots, the NAIDS leadership urged the Chairmen to prioritize transparency, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and people-centered policies that address the pressing needs of students and young people in their communities.
“The expectations of the masses, especially the youth and students, are high, and we believe in your capacity to deliver lasting impact,” the association said.
The NAIDS National Executive Council further expressed its hope for active and collaborative partnerships between the students’ body and the local governments, particularly in areas such as scholarship support, educational infrastructure, digital literacy programs, and capacity-building initiatives for youths across the division.
“We look forward to collaborative engagements between NAIDS NATIONAL and your respective administrations towards empowering students, supporting educational initiatives, and developing sustainable opportunities across all communities in the division,” the statement added.
The message concluded with a prayerful wish for the newly sworn-in Chairmen, encouraging them to steer their tenures with innovation, peace, and commitment to progress.
NAIDS reaffirmed its support for all the council bosses, pledging unity and purposeful engagement for a greater and more inclusive Ikorodu Division.
