394994j4j44jjjj7E2457454502891651949. Ikorodu General Hospital, Imota Annex that was brought alive on Monday, 14th of November, 2022 as Imota Student's Union hosted Day-3 program of ISUWEEK'22 tagged; Free Medical Check Up, Drugs/Health & Waste Management Enlightenment in the hospital's compound.
The program, considered one of the most anticipated in the annual line-up of the union activities of ISU WEEK witnessed the presence of twenty-six (26) medical personnel; doctors, pharmacists, laboratory officials, pharmacists, environmental officials, health educators and auxiliary nurses which catering to two hundred and thirty-one (231) elders, ages ranges from 16 - 80 years and children from 1 - 15years.
Mr. Saheed Yekini (PRO, Ikorodu general hospital, Imota annex), communicating the local dialect, Ijebu, and translating to Yoruba and English, encouraged participants to make use of the general hospital in the community, discouraging the improper waste disposal culture and also sensitise the people on the need to subscribe to ilere eko, an health insurance scheme of Lagos state government. According to Comrade Adenusi David Olamide, the Chairman, ISUWEEK'22 Organising Committee, "This program is organised to sensitise our people of the dangers of drug abuse, improper waste disposal and also to give them the opportunity of a free diagnosis, free consultations with doctors, free eye check up service and free drugs." Speaking further, he noted that, "most of the people in the community are low income earners, and while struggling to put three square meal on the table, they barely have left over resources to be spent on checkup and other medical services. Hence, the organisation of this program".
The Health Educator from Ikorodu General Hospital, advised the participants to often check their B.P and visit the general hospital equipped with qualified medical professional and updated facilities for checkup and not to wait till they are overwhelmed with health issues before visiting hospital. She also advised against drug abuse and discouraged the practices of going to the pharmaceutical shops without a doctor prescription.
Talking to partakers, the Environmental Health Official, charged all the participants to be conscious of their environment, because there can only be sound healthy, if the environment is clean. She advised the participants to sort their wastes; the biodegradable to a container and the none biodegradable to be sorted in another container; all should be in a container with covered lid placed at the front of the house.
One of the participants who identified himself as Oklaho, asserted, "this program is one program people always look out for in the community. It gives us the opportunity to see doctors, get health related advise and free drugs". Appreciating Imota Student's Union for the opportunity, he wished every members of the union well in all their endeavours".
The President of Imota Student's Union, Comrade Ogunbowale Olatayo Bodunrin acknowledged the Director of Ikorodu General Hospital for collaborating with the union. "I'm deeply indebted to the Director of Ikorodu General Hospital for partnering with the union". He continued, "They supplied us with drugs and personnel, boosting our coverage. Also, I want to recognise all the public and government hospital in Imota and Agbowa that released their personnel for the outreach. "We're indeed grateful for the presence of His Royal Highness, Oba Mufashir Bakare Agoro, the Ranodu of Imota and the Olufoworesete II".
"It is important to note that ISUWEEK'22 programs still continue, and while am so grateful for the kind gestures of our supporters, I also want to call for more support". "We really do have lot of programs and projects that target all age brackets, especially the students in Imota and its environs and we are currently running out of resources to execute the programs and projects".
"Hence, we call on all and sundry to come to our aid, so that together, we can build Imota community of our dreams" He concluded.

3993939939999i7E25046815189803342185. On Saturday, 12th of November, 2022, the streets of Imota were agog as students Imota community and its environs trooped out under the backing of the Imota Student's Union to Walk Against Social Vices besetting the community.
The walk which started at the U.P.E playing ground witnessed the presence of students from different higher institutions in Nigeria, students from public and private secondary schools in Imota Local Council Development Area, and community stakeholders, amongst which is Dr Olujimi Adejo, Senior Lecturer, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Lagos State University, Ojo; Mr Lekan Ogunbowale, Director Commerce and Industry, Lagos State Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Comrade Fasasi Abdulraheem, Former Speaker of Faculty of Science, Lagos State University, etc.
After a presentation from various individuals on the adverse effect of social vices, students were inspired to take to the streets to share the information. Carrying handbills and placards containing inscriptions such as: Say No to; Cultism, Killing, Street Fighting, Drug Abuse, Cybercrime, Gambling, Thuggery, Stealing, Smoking, and Improper Waste Management, amongst other vices that are capable of harming human health and hampered societal development.
Communicating with the press, Comrade Ogunbowale Olatayo Bodunrin said, “Today, we are walking against social vices plaguing our society. We the students and the youths, we've gotten to a point where we can no longer be quiet". "Hence, the need for us to stand up and walk against all vices is making ourselves the solution to the problems of our society".
Dr Olujimi Adejo, a senior lecturer, from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Lagos State University, Ojo lauded the Union for its efforts. He went down history lane, digging out different intervention programs of the union from different leaders. Appreciating the conveners of the event, He encourages the attendees to make the best use of this opportunity.
Mr Lekan Ogunbowale, Director of Commerce and Industry, Lagos State Ministry of Commerce and Industry advised the students to be accountable, consistent, contented and humble in their journey in life.
Comrade Fasasi Abdulraheem, a former speaker of the Faculty of Science, Lagos State University, Ojo and staff of the Lagos State University, Department of Physics, addressed the students and told them they are training themselves on how to stand tall in the future.
While wrapping up the walk, the President, Comrade Ogunbowale Olatayo Bodunrin appreciated everyone that partook in the walk, especially the lecturers and the director that followed throughout the walk. He advised the students to be alert, as there are many opportunities for students and youths.

The scholarship known as 'The Oba Ranodu Best WAEC Prize program', meant to boost the student's credentials was proposed by the paramount ruler on his birthday through the Imota Students Union Platform. Showing gratitude, awarded students and their parents paid a visit to the king's palace in appreciation of the support, aimed at enabling education standards and assisting the students to stay focused on their studies.
HRM, Oba Ajibade-Agoro, affirmed to the parents that the free training comes with free transportation till the students write their final exams and attain a key step in their quest to become chartered accountants. The students are; Udor Adora Ufuoma, odutola oreoluwa Christiana both from Ifelodun high school oke-agbo, Imota, Emmanuel Grace Chinedu from Ansar-ud-deen Grammar School, Imota and Agbaje Erionaara Deborah from Imota Community Senior Grammar School, Imota. Presenting his official accounting firm letterhead to the beneficiaries, the King further accepted sponsoring one of the Imota Students Union member, facing financial difficulty, who also showed interest in partaking in the scholarship program.

The prayer session which took place at the Imota Central Mosque, Opopo Quarters on the 11th of November 2022 was presided over by Alhaji Ibrahim Owoyele.
Organised to retain a religious prayer round for Students in Imota both home and in diaspora in an Islamic manner, the Ranodu of Imota, HRM, Oba Mudashiru Ajibade-Agoro also graced the prayer session.
The King urged the union to always commit their activities to the hands of Almighty Allah, adding that they should pray for the betterment of the LCDA, division, State and nation. Comrade Ogunbowale Olatayo Bodunrin, President of the Imota Students union on his path noted that the prayer is as well to necessitate peaceful coexistence and campaign against the crisis in society which is now a big issue besieging Nigeria's contemporary societies.
Asserting that it is meant to intercede for Students' and general youth development.

e939j3n3717860860002664799 In his fervent commitment to improving education infrastructure, Builder Olusesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has officially kicked off a renovation project at Methodist Primary School in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA. On the 3rd of October 2023, a groundbreaking ceremony marked the commencement of the ambitious project, which promises to transform the school's facilities.
The cornerstone of the renovation project focuses on providing standard toilets and ensuring hygiene and sanitation for the students and staff. Additionally, a block containing five classrooms is set to undergo a complete makeover, with workers already on-site to initiate the renovation process.

The Christ Compassion Crusade's preparations have been nothing short of remarkable. The dedicated team behind the event has already secured a significant quantity of essential supplies, including one thousand bags of Garri, 30 thousand bags of soaps, 24 thousand printed exercise books, 10 thousand buckets, 10 thousand bags of salt, 10 thousand bags of sugar, and two solid generators, one of which is a 350kVA powerhouse. In addition to these tangible resources, Pastor Matthew emphasized the importance of collaboration and spiritual guidance. The crusade team has convened with 320 pastors on the ground to ensure the event's effectiveness, highlighting the spirit of unity and purpose.
Healthcare is a prominent component of the Christ Compassion Crusade. The medical outreach aims to serve over 30 thousand people, with plans to provide 10 thousand deworming tablets for children. Furthermore, free surgeries will be conducted at the Ikorodu General Hospital, benefiting over 200 individuals.
