Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, as the revered monarch marks his 10th coronation anniversary.
In his congratulatory message on the 9th of August 2025, Governor Sanwo-Olu commended Kabiyesi for a decade of exemplary leadership characterized by wisdom, unity, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of the Ikorodu Kingdom and its people.
“Over the past decade, Kabiyesi has led with wisdom, unity, and a deep commitment to the progress of his people,” the Governor said, acknowledging the monarch’s significant role in fostering harmony, cultural preservation, and socio-economic growth within the community.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also offered prayers for the monarch’s continued well-being, stating: “I pray for his continued good health, strength, and many more years of impactful service to his community and to our state.”
Since ascending the throne in 2014, Oba Shotobi has been instrumental in championing development initiatives, supporting educational advancement, and enhancing the traditional heritage of the Ikorodu Division.
