AYANGBURE OF IKORODU HONOURS LAGOS GOVERNOR’S AIDE AT 34TH IKORODU-OGA FESTIVAL COMMUNITY DAY ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The prestigious 34th Ikorodu-Oga Festival Community Day Celebration was held on 10th November 2025 at the Ayangbure Palace, bringing together residents, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders under the theme “Celebrating Our Roots, Forging Our Future.”

During the highlight of the event, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, received the Award of Excellence on Community Development from Oba Engr. Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu kingdom.

The award recognised Dr. Agbaje’s dedication, passion, and outstanding contributions to community development in Lagos State.

Oba Shotobi described him as a “proud son of the soil” and prayed for his continued success.

Alhaji Kolawole Fatai Olayiwola, Chairman of the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), also commended Dr. Agbaje’s performance at the state level in fostering growth and development in rural communities.

In his appreciation remarks, Dr Agbaje expressed heartfelt appreciation to Oba Shotobi for the recognition and guidance, describing the award as a motivation to continue serving his community.

He also thanked Alhaji Kolawole Fatai Olayiwola and the entire IKODASS for their support, noting that collective efforts between traditional leaders, community associations, and government are essential for sustainable development.

The festival highlighted Ikorodu’s rich cultural heritage and reinforced the community’s commitment to development, tourism, and progress.
