As political consciousness continues to build ahead of the 2027 general elections, Ikorodu Division is set to host a significant solidarity rally in recognition of the achievements and leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The rally, themed “Ikorodu Division Unites for 2027,” will serve as a convergence point for supporters, stakeholders, and residents of the division who align with the President’s governance philosophy and reform-driven agenda.
Speaking in reaction to the planned rally, Aarebirin Hon. Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Global Director General of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM), Board of Trustees member of ALGONVC, and President of the Shelter of Grace Foundation, described the gathering as a timely platform to call for absolute support for President Tinubu and the continuity of progressive leadership in Nigeria.
Princess Olabanji-Oba noted that the rally provides an opportunity for citizens to openly express appreciation for the President’s strides in economic restructuring, governance reforms, infrastructure development, and national renewal.
According to her, the moment demands unity, loyalty, and unwavering support for a leader whose policies are laying a foundation for long-term national growth.
She emphasized that Ikorodu Division, known for its strong political voice and civic engagement, has historically stood on the side of progressive governance, adding that the 2027 solidarity rally reflects the division’s readiness to sustain that legacy.
The rally is scheduled to take place on Monday, 9th February 2026, at the Ikorodu Town Hall Ground, with proceedings beginning at 10:00am.
Organisers expect a large turnout of political leaders, youth groups, women associations, traditional institutions, and grassroots supporters.
Princess Olabanji-Oba further urged residents of Ikorodu Division and supporters across Lagos State to use the rally as a peaceful and purposeful expression of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, stressing that unity remains the strongest tool in securing a stable and prosperous future for Nigeria.
As the nation gradually looks toward 2027, the Ikorodu Division rally stands as a strong signal of growing grassroots alignment and a collective call for continuity anchored on experience, vision, and proven leadership.
