COMMUNITY HAILS GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU AS LAGOS GOVERNMENT DELIVERS NEW TRANSFORMER TO IBESHE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

Pacesetter Community Development Association (CDA) in Ibeshe, within Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, has received a brand-new transformer from the Lagos State Government as part of the ongoing rural electrification initiative aimed at improving electricity supply across grassroots communities in the state.

The transformer was delivered to the community on March 10, 2026, under the rural electrification intervention of the administration of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

The initiative is being implemented through the Lagos State Office of Rural Development to cushion the effects of inadequate power supply in rural areas of Lagos State.

Residents of the community, led by the Chairman of Pacesetter CDA, Mr. Oluwadare Isaac Oluwatoba, expressed appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for responding to their long-standing request for improved electricity infrastructure.

According to Oluwatoba, the community had experienced prolonged electricity outages for quite some time, a situation that affected businesses and the daily lives of residents.

He noted that the delivery of the transformer has brought renewed hope to residents, while commending the state government for prioritizing development at the grassroots level.

The CDA chairman also lauded the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, for his commitment and efforts in ensuring that the community’s request for a new transformer became a reality.

“We sincerely appreciate Mr Governor for this timely intervention. Our community has lived without electricity for quite some time, and this support will greatly improve the quality of life for our residents,” Oluwatoba stated.

Speaking on the intervention, Dr. Agbaje reiterated that the Lagos State Government remains committed to ensuring that communities at the grassroots enjoy improved electricity supply.

He explained that the rural electrification drive is part of the administration’s broader strategy to bridge infrastructure gaps and bring relief to communities experiencing power challenges.

Dr. Agbaje further revealed that several communities across the state have already benefited from the ongoing intervention, while many others are expected to benefit in the coming phases.

“The administration of Mr Governor is going all out to ensure that residents of Lagos State enjoy improved electricity supply, especially at the grassroots,” he said.

He added that the initiative aligns with the developmental vision of the Sanwo-Olu administration under the THEMES Plus Agenda.

“The THEMES Plus Agenda of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu is poised to reach the nooks and crannies of Lagos State, bringing the dividends of democracy to communities across the state,” Dr. Agbaje added.

Residents of the Pacesetter CDA community welcomed the development with enthusiasm, expressing optimism that the installation of the new transformer will significantly improve electricity supply and stimulate economic activities within the area.
