Former House of Representatives candidate in the 2023 general elections, Gbenga Shittu, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje at his constituency office in Aga, along Ikorodu Club Road, in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The visit served as an avenue for political engagement and reaffirmation of Hon. Shittu’s loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress, a position he had earlier declared after contesting the 2023 House of Representatives election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
During the meeting, Hon. Shittu reiterated his commitment to working with stakeholders within the APC to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure in Ikorodu and across Lagos State.
He noted that his political focus remains aligned with the progressive ideals and development agenda championed by the party.
The former PDP candidate also used the occasion to affirm his readiness to mobilize support for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential general election, stressing the importance of continuity for the ongoing reforms and development initiatives of the current administration.
According to Hon. Shittu, collective support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid would ensure sustained national progress and stability.
Responding, Dr. Agbaje welcomed the visit and commended the spirit of political collaboration and unity among leaders committed to strengthening the APC and advancing developmental efforts in Ikorodu Division.
The engagement also featured discussions on party cohesion, grassroots mobilization, and the importance of strategic alignment among political stakeholders ahead of future electoral processes.
