
The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, on Friday joined Muslim faithful at the Eid praying ground in Ikorodu for the observance of Eid al-Fitr, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The well-attended prayer session, held in line with Islamic tradition, brought together thousands of worshippers who gathered in unity to offer special congregational prayers, signalling the end of the month-long fasting period.
The prayer session was presided over by the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division and Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque, Fadhilat Sheikh Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowooribi, who led the faithful in prayers and spiritual reflections.

Speaking briefly with journalists after the prayer session, Dr. Agbaje emphasized the importance of sustaining the virtues imbibed during Ramadan.
He urged Muslim faithful to continue to uphold the values of unity, compassion, and generosity beyond the festive period.
He noted that the spirit of Ramadan, characterized by self-discipline, kindness, and communal harmony, remains essential for fostering peaceful coexistence and development within society.
The event concluded with the exchange of pleasantries among attendees, as residents of Ikorodu joined millions of Muslims worldwide in celebrating the joyous occasion.
