The Conference 57 League of Chairmen has unanimously endorsed the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as their preferred candidate for the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.
The endorsement was announced during a gathering of the Conference 57 held at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel, where council chairmen across Lagos State expressed confidence in Dr. Hamzat’s leadership capacity and commitment to the continued development of the state.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Chairman of Conference 57, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, described the Deputy Governor as a visionary leader with remarkable experience, competence, and dedication to the progressive ideals that have shaped Lagos State over the years.
According to Olowa, Dr. Hamzat’s track record in governance and his loyalty to the developmental agenda of the state make him eminently qualified to lead Lagos to greater heights in 2027.
The Conference 57 Chairmen further pledged their collective support and commitment towards actualizing the aspiration, noting that their decision was driven by the need to sustain good governance, continuity, and inclusive development for the benefit of Lagosians.
The endorsement is expected to further strengthen political conversations ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Lagos State.
