The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, on his victory at the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election and his acceptance of the party’s gubernatorial nomination for the 2027 Lagos Governorship Election.
In a congratulatory message on the 22nd of May 2026, Dr. Agbaje described Hamzat as a seasoned administrator whose wealth of experience in governance and public service positions him to lead Lagos State into a new phase of growth and development.
The Rural Development Adviser noted that Hamzat’s years of service in various leadership capacities within the Lagos State Government have demonstrated his competence, dedication, and commitment to progressive governance.
According to Agbaje, the Deputy Governor possesses the administrative experience and leadership qualities needed to sustain and expand the developmental achievements recorded in Lagos State over the years.
He expressed confidence that Hamzat’s emergence as the APC gubernatorial candidate would further strengthen the party’s vision of continuity, inclusive governance, and people-oriented development across the state.
Agbaje also commended the leadership of the APC and party stakeholders for conducting a successful primary process, while urging party members and residents to support Hamzat’s vision for a greater Lagos.
