NO ROOM FOR VIOLENT PROTESTS IN NIGERIA – IGP ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

fb img 16908905051571317644832904998053 The Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun is deeply concerned about recent developments regarding planned nationwide protests by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC). While being mindful of the right to peaceful protest, as enshrined in our Constitution, the IGP urges all parties involved to ensure that the planned demonstrations are conducted peacefully to prevent being hijacked by miscreants, owing to the previous ugly experiences of such protests in most major cosmopolitan cities in the country. The IGP, however, acknowledges the grievances raised by the labour unions and the importance of constructive dialogue, which is sine qua none, in addressing these issues.
In light of this, the IGP orders the Commissioners of Police in charge of various commands, and supervisory Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, to engage in fruitful discussions with the NLC/TUC leadership to foster understanding and reach common grounds on the planned protests. A peaceful and coordinated approach is crucial to achieving meaningful solutions and preventing any form of violence or disruptions to public order, should the protests persist.
The Nigeria Police Force reiterates its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens during the period of the planned protests as all necessary measures to facilitate the peaceful conduct of these demonstrations have been emplaced. However, it is hereby reaffirmed that any attempt by miscreants to exploit the situation for violent purposes viz-a-viz vandalism, gangsterism, and extortion will be met with a firm, professional and commensurate lawful approach. The Police will not tolerate any act that threatens the peace and well-being of our country.
In light of the potential challenges posed by the planned protests, the Nigeria Police Force is fully prepared to deploy all available resources to maintain law and order and to protect the lives and property of our citizens. The IGP, therefore, calls on all officers to be vigilant, and professional, and uphold the highest standards of conduct during this period.
The Police boss urges all stakeholders, including the NLC, TUC, and other civil society groups, to embrace peaceful dialogue as the most effective means of resolving grievances, while also reemphasizing that the Police is committed to ensuring a secure and conducive environment for open dialogue, constructive engagement and mutual understanding for a seamless exercise of civil rights.

In furtherance of his desire to ease the burden of the fuel subsidy removal on students of higher institutions of learning, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the provision of buses to the students' bodies of all universities, polytechnics and colleges of education across the country.
The President desires to see that students can access their campuses without much difficulty as a result of higher transportation costs.
The provision of buses will also remove the burden of additional costs of daily commuting on parents and guardians.
In line with his promise to ensure no Nigerian student abandons his or her educational pursuits as a result of lack of money and the economic circumstances of their parents, President Tinubu has also approved the removal of all restrictions on the students' loans to make it available to any student or household that may desire it.
Similarly, President Tinubu has directed the authorities in all Federal Institutions of higher learning to avoid arbitrary increase in sundry fees payable and where possible defer further increase so that parents and students don't face too many difficulties.
While it is important to reiterate that President Tinubu has directed the release of over 200,000 Metric Tonnes of grains to families in 36 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the government is working to ensure that vulnerable students can also benefit from conditional cash transfers and food distribution.
The Federal Government salutes the courage, wisdom and partnership of Nigerian Students as our country navigates this challenging time.
President Tinubu will continue to prioritise education and the needs of the students, improve the welfare of teaching and non-academic staff and invest in infrastructure to make our institutions of higher learning more globally competitive.

FUNMI BASORUN: TINUBU WON’T FAIL, NIGERIANS SHOULD SUPPORT HIM ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

dcc7a8b0 099a 11ee 8432 575d324be50f7E28512330753270932327 A member of the Governance Advisory Council in the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) and first Secretary to the State Government in the late Lateef Jakande administration, Chief Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, speaks with journalists on the Bola Tinubu presidency and what Nigerians should expect from him. Politicians are fond of making promises, and President Bola Tinubu made him during the campaigns, what should Nigerians expect from him? Tinubu listed a 10-point agenda that he sought to achieve in his administration. He called them ‘Action Plan’. The agenda includes creating sufficient jobs with decent wages; reviving manufacturing industries and placing Nigeria back on the path of industrialisation; generating, transmitting and distributing sufficient, affordable electricity; manufacturing and marketing increased quantities of essential goods and services; exporting more to earn foreign exchange and strengthening the naira; to make affordable healthcare, education and housing accessible to all; to train and give economic opportunities to persons with disabilities; among other laudable things. Many people still doubt his ability to deliver, are you confident he will deliver on his promises? Tinubu has fulfilled a phenomenon Nigeria was yearning for many years back. When Chief (Obafemi) Awolowo was in the scene, he insisted that anyone who wanted to lead this country must possess some qualities. Tinubu seems to have resurrected Awolowo. The qualities Awolowo spoke of are courage, commitment and objectives. Awolowo added that every political leader must possess the mental magnitude to lead. By mental magnitude, he meant that such a leader must possess at least a first degree in a discipline. Then, in addition, some knowledge of economics, if that degree is not in economics, finance, sociology, psychology, law, political history, etc. He then went ahead and put succinctly: ‘Good leadership involves self-conquest; you must conquer yourself first – Tinubu conquered himself. That is the situation Tinubu has found himself in. You seem very convinced. Here is why I know that Tinubu will succeed. In 1983, 12 out of the 19 progressive governors held meetings several times in Lagos at the Lagos House in Marina. At the eighth meeting, among those present were Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Aminu Kano, etc. and they resolved in February 1983 that Nigeria must go progressive, but they could not achieve this. When the elections came, the same thing we saw in the last elections happened: religion, ethnicity, etc. Everybody failed. But see Tinubu, he came in 2013 and said the progressives must come together and everybody came together as if they were obeying the words of Chief Awolowo. Tinubu brought the progressives and conservatives together and he succeeded by putting former President Muhammadu Buhari in government for the first term of four years as the President of Nigeria. As Buhari won a second term, the second part of Awolowo’s prediction came to pass: the conservatives fell out, and the progressives remained. Who else should benefit from this arrangement but Tinubu? Then, the mental magnitude that Chief Awolowo recommended, this fellow (Tinubu) has a first degree in Accounting. He later became a senator in 1992; I was with him. We were calling him ‘Serubawon.’ Then he became governor in 1999. As many people have different opinions about his achievements as governor, I have one: he did what the Israeli people did to the ocean that transverses their area to the Atlantic Ocean. He got the Atlantic pushed to the point that he made its shores a city, which is a reality that people are commending today. I think Tinubu will do better as the leader of Nigeria. What do you think should be the priorities? Among his 10-point programme, the economy and security are the most important. Once the issue of insecurity is dealt with and the economy, which has several branches, is taken care of, every other thing will fall into place. If, for example, Tinubu makes an announcement, ‘Fellow Nigerians, having been sworn in, I now declare that the minimum wage, which is N30,000 per month, is now N60,000; that is a 100 per cent jump. I want to assure you that we shall find the money to pay, and I want to assure the state governments that I will make the funds available to pay.’ 30 per cent of the increase will go to the peasants, and they will not throw it into the Lagoon. It is going to increase the wealth of the nation. As for security, that’s not a matter for the public. I’m sure he’s well-briefed and he will take the steps that maybe the immediate past President was fearful of taking. I said for anyone to face the problems of this nation, he must have courage, he must commit, and he must have objectives. Tinubu has all three. Then, the type of election he won has shown that he is ready to carry the problems of this country. (General Ibrahim) Babangida was commenting, he said Atiku (Abubakar) won ethnicity, Peter Obi won religion, but Tinubu won Nigerians. Nigerians voted for him all over. Even in this (Lagos) state where we so much love him, he was defeated, but he went ahead to win all over Nigeria. They said two-thirds of states, he got in 29 states, much more than two-thirds. What other spread or request have Nigerians not answered? They have answered his call to come and rule them. Our prayer now is that God should preserve his life and give him the courage and commitment to implement the objectives he has for the country. Tinubu will succeed, there is no doubt about it. What role will the Governance Advisory Council play in the national government? Some members of the public have a wrong conception of the GAC. The GAC stands like the elders’ committee of the APC in Lagos State. It’s Lagos. They may want to transform it, but if he has to transform it into a national, it has to go through the geo-political zones, but for now, it’s like an elders’ committee, giving him advice at the appropriate time. And it is still there.
So, from my end, I cannot say if there will be a role for the GAC at the national level.
APC and Tinubu’s campaign mantra was ‘Renewed Hope’, if you agree that there is a need to renew people’s hope, is it an admittance that the APC indeed dashed the hopes of Nigerians with the eight-year term of Buhari and that Tinubu is coming to renew the hope?
Well, some people use that slogan, but no hope was lost that we are renewing. There is no hope lost. People complained about hardship during Buhari’s tenure and it seems the hardship has even worsened, do you think Tinubu will be able to ease the pain of Nigerians? Looking at his programme, I believe he will, particularly with the background he has. When you are in charge of your government, you must have your ideas. The man (Buhari) that left now depended on the civil servants; Asiwaju is not going to depend on the civil servants. As one of my leaders told me, if you want to move from Gate A to B, you don’t tell civil servants to tell you how to get to Gate B. ‘Mr. civil servant, I want to Gate B. I want to go by bicycle, go and arrange, I want to be there by 12noon.’ I believe Asiwaju has that quality; he will do that. That’s what we need. Chief Awolowo also said a minimum of 50 per cent idea of what you do should be yours. Buhari was in government for eight years, what he was able to do was a function of his wherewithal, a retired soldier, etc. There is a difference between Buhari and Tinubu. Not only is Tinubu qualified in terms of education, but Tinubu has also been a fighter and a courageous man. I do not believe he will fail us. During the electioneering, there was a high level of ethnic and religious division among Nigerians, how does your party plan to reunite Nigeria? He should choose his cabinet by recognising the diversity of the country. The constitution says to pick at least one minister per state and the Federal Capital Territory. In doing so, I believe the President, who is very conversant with the situation in Nigeria, will do the needful in that area. After doing that, he would have taken care of the issue of division. Even in the National Assembly now, he is already doing that, making sure that after himself and Shettima, the next person should come from Akwa Ibom State. After taking (Tajudeen) Abbas from Kaduna State, he went to another state to take (Benjamin) Kalu. So, he is going to ensure inclusion in picking his cabinet members. Will the GAC play any role in the composition of Tinubu’s cabinet? To the best of my knowledge, the Governance Advisory Council for Lagos APC and the GAC will play a role in Lagos unless it changes tomorrow. So, if he wants a nominee from Lagos and the GAC decides that XYZ should be, be it. What are some of the things Tinubu did in Lagos that you believe he will replicate as the President? There are many. Let me start with the one he started and was stopped. He started private electricity, he was disturbed. He’s going to raise it. He wanted states to create local governments; he created them, but the National Assembly stopped it. I believe he should go back to it. Why restrict the number of local governments? If you ask me, Tinubu will display financial wizardry. When Obasanjo refused to release allocations due to Lagos State for almost four years, the man was managing the state and all the 20 local governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas until Musa Yar’Adua came and within two months, he lifted the ban. I don’t know whether arrears were paid, but he lifted the ban, and ever since the local governments have been collecting their allocations. Recently, some emissaries of Tinubu visited someone considered to be his strong critic, Chief Bode George, for reconciliation. Were you surprised at this move? I wasn’t surprised, Tinubu has won the election, and he has now been sworn in as the President. The man (Bode George) has not fled the country. Why shouldn’t we talk to him and tell him to play down? So, it was a good move. I wasn’t surprised. So, let them go ahead to plead with him. I agree with him (George), and that is how to be a good party man. That his party is still in the tribunal, he will not begin to congratulate Bola Tinubu, I don’t think that is too much. If I were in his shoes, I would probably have done the same thing. But that he received them, discussed with them, and he has not fled the country, well, we thank God. The GAC must have been jolted when the Labour Party defeated Tinubu in Lagos. How did you receive that? Well, we were surprised, but thank God we woke up immediately and embarked on making the situation better, and that was reflected in the following (governorship and House of Assembly) elections. In the first election, it was 582,000 against 572,000. Labour had 582,000 votes and APC had 572,000 votes. Just about a 9,000 votes difference. They won, but in the second election, the governor got 762,000 against LP’s 312,000. So, we worked very hard within that short period. That picture also painted a misnomer to an extent, and I want to appeal to our people who don’t come out to vote. How can we register about seven million plus eligible voters and we do not get two million votes, altogether; all the parties? Are you worried that the opposition is coming closer to taking over Lagos from your party? It’s not close, 762,000 to 312,000 is very wide. The first round was just 9,000. There were a lot of factors against us. But we changed it to 762,000 against 312,000. What would you advise Nigerians to do if the Tinubu government fails to deliver on its campaign promises? If he fails? God forbid, he will not fail. Rather, what Tinubu should do is do what Chief Awolowo did in 1955, and what Jakande did in 1979. Tinubu should announce a programme that will get everybody agog. Ah, our messiah has come! Ah, the man to save us has come!! In 1955, Awolowo announced free and compulsory education. Secondly, he doubled the minimum wage. When Jakande won the election in 1979, he went from the inauguration venue to the air and announced that ‘education shall now be free at all levels. Health shall be free at all levels. I’m not saying Tinubu should say so, but he should look for something that when he throws it on the ground, the country will go agog. And once he does that, you know, the multiplier effect of that is that people will support his government. Once he has done something, which is in the interest of the masses, they will believe in him. What would be your advice to Nigerians? Nigerians should support the new government. Give the new government time to perform, not doubting whether he can perform or not. Let them give Tinubu a chance. Let us watch before we begin to complain because we are human beings. Many people lamented that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria worked to make your party lose, but he’s a member of your party and the generality of Nigerians suffered the hardship. What are your thoughts on that season? The CBN governor brought hardship to this country. I worked and retired from the CBN and I know the system. How would he change money and ask us to go and deposit our money? The two must be going side by side for a particular time. In the United Kingdom today, they have changed their money to King Charles. The Queen’s money is going to be there for a long time. Why is our own different? If Emefiele had no hidden objectives, and people were saying he had a mission to accomplish, he would have done the right thing. Unfortunately, some people we did not expect to commend him were commending him, saying that the currency design would prevent vote-buying. Who told you? It did not. People began to transfer money (laughs) to buy votes. If that was what it was to prevent, then he was not doing his job properly. The way I put it, he was inimical to the progress of Nigerians the way he did it. What was your experience of such when you were in the CBN? I took part in several currency changes. The first currency change from the British West African currency board to the British Pound took place on July 1, 1959. I was there in the central bank; I was a cashier. In 1973, when the naira came in to replace the pound, I was in Maiduguri, I was there. I was the currency officer on 1976, July 2. I still have photographs. Nobody knew we were changing money. But somebody just came and decided to ruin the economy. He ruined so many businesses. Up till now, people go from my church to withdraw money, they say they can only withdraw N100,000. So, we have to split the cheque and if one is not careful, you will let people who are corruptible in their minds begin to practise corruption. In big organisations, a lot of corruption will take place. So, the man should go. If I were him, I would resign. He has failed this country as a governor of the central bank. He has disappointed everybody. But those who fight against the masses always pay for it. One (CBN) governor did it, he got blind. If you want me to give you his name, I can give you his name. You don’t fight the masses. He may have made a lot of money from all that he has been doing or satisfied some people, but he will see the end.

As maintained by the youngest Bishop, the federal government is financially torturing Nigerians at a time the people are struggling to meet their daily meals.
In his message to Ikorodu News Network (INN) on the 17th of February 2023, Omomajemu explained that the Central Bank Of Nigeria (at the detriment of the people) is dancing around with the FG on its policies, while Nigerians are battling to adjust in accessing the newly designed naira notes.
He said, "I am an accountant by profession, and if CBN wants a country of over 200 million people to be stabilised, it means over 70 trillion naira have to be circulated for even distribution by banks to calm the chaos".
"In some places, to withdraw N10,000 via POS, people are being charged N1000 naira, N1500 to collect their own money. This challenge is only adding distress to the frustration of the masses".
"CBN cannot say they're not aware of the cries of Nigerians, yet, they're tossing around policies that will further weaken the strength and drive of the good and innocent people in this nation".
"Preventing Nigerians from using the old notes while the new notes are scarce is only making twice as much the level of poverty, lack and starvation in the country".
"We have gone through a lot in this nation already, yet, people are dying over this emergency, businesses are perishing and families are disintegrating due to this crisis.
"It's the frustration that's resulting in protest and unwarranted feuds across different regions presently," Omomajemu said.
The youngest Bishop further advised leaders at the helm of affairs to ensure putting the interest of Nigerians above their convenience, adding that everyone will die and leave their power behind someday. "What's happening today is nothing to joke about because our children, youths and adults are all crying, but the strategies of the system seem to be laughing at us".
"But the truth is, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel for God's people, and Nigerians will smile at the horizon of this economic disaster" Omomajemu asserted

8ojhh78256470233576825639 It was another uplifting day for Education in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA as the only female councillor in the council's legislative chamber, Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko rehabilitated two classrooms and provided a water tank stand/Fetching Point for Methodist Primary School Igbogbo.
The project was commissioned on Friday the 22nd of September 2023 by Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya and presided over by the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Daini.
Receiving a high level of commendation from the school administration, Princess Basirat, the councillor of ward C1 and Deputy leader of Igbogbo Baiyeku legislative chamber, appreciated the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for a timeless mentorship. She also acknowledged Ikorodu apex leader, Asipa Kaoli, and her council boss, Bldr. Sesan Daini for leading the pack effectively, providing her with a palatable room to function.
Furthermore, she commended the Methodist primary school administration for cooperating with her towards the successful completion of the project.
According to Princess Basirat, the sole aim of the project is to help students by providing them with a better learning environment.
The program, themed; 'Maintaining A Clean Environment', she explained that the school is observing overpopulation, which causes inconveniences for pupils.
"It was due to those inconveniences that spurred me to get to work on facilitating the extra classrooms as a form of service to humanity," she said.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Princess Basirat illustrated that the school also lacked access to clean water which prompted her (as councillor of the ward) to provide the tank, stand and fetching point.
Urging the school administration to apply maintenance culture in preserving the resources, Princess pleads with everyone to imbibe the heart of giving.
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeki LCDA, Bldr. Sesan Daini, in his address dubbed the day celebratory, equally applauding the project facilitator, Princess Basirat Banjoko. Emphasising performance, Bldr Daini expressed his satisfaction towards all councillors in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA working and making things better in their numerous wards. Bringing his attention to Methodist Primary School, he said, "Seeing this project is a challenge to me!".
"As I've promised, Methodist Primary School building renovation with fully equipped furniture, and building of 8 toilets which will be commissioned in the next 50 days" Bldr Daini said.
The council boss asserted the party's developmental mandate for communities will continue to reflect in his administration as voiced during his campaign. Before commissioning the project, Chief Kaoli Olusanya praised Princess Basirat Adetutu for prioritising education, explaining that education is the first way to escape poverty.
He further encouraged the administrators of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA not to relent in fulfilling their mandate because it is a way of giving hope to the people.
Mrs. Ogunfeyimi, HeadMistress of Methodist Primary School Igbogbo praised the council chairman, Bldr. Daini and all other leaders in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA for their consistent support towards education.
Pointing out that Bldr. Daini's administration has not for once left the education sector, she encourages the leadership to keep propelling and investing in the life of the future generation around the communities.
Representative Education District 2, Mrs. Odusanya also saluted the work of the administration in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, urging them to proceed with doing good. Adeboruwa-in-council Chiefs, Mr Taiwo Orenuga (chairman APC Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA) and other auspicious guests were in attendance.

img 20230922 wa00194052512174661337085 The chairman of the Lagos Assembly ad-hoc committee with the mandate to investigate the circumstances that led to the disappearance of Adebola Akin-Bright's small intestine, Hon. Noheem Adams, has told his colleagues that the doctor who performed surgery twice on the boy is not a qualified surgeon.
This is as the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, during plenary on Thursday, directed the Clerk, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko, to write to the State police command for the arrest of Dr. Abayomi Baiyewu of Obitoks Hospital in the Alimosho area of Lagos. Adebola died on Tuesday shortly after the House called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to further assist him seek treatment abroad.
While thanking Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his effort at the period the boy was being treated at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Speaker Obasa directed that a letter conveying the condolence message of the House be sent to the family.
Dr. Obasa further asked the committee to look into other grey areas including inviting officials of the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) which has the law-backed responsibility to monitor private hospitals operating in the State.
The Speaker further asked the committee to review the extant law so as to know if it should be amended just as he said private hospitals can be made to always report their activities to the government at all times.
Formally announcing Adebola's death, Hon. Adams said the boy's case was disheartening. He said when the committee visited him on Tuesday, he still spoke with the lawmakers.
He, however, said during investigation, the committee learnt from Dr. Baiyewu that he is not a surgeon but only relied on his experience as a medical doctor.
He also said Baiyewu, whose testimonies were recorded, told the committee that he did not carry out any medical examination on the boy before the first surgery which he did himself adding that he only relied on the report from a hospital the patient was first
taken to.
Noheem said after Baiyewu did the first surgery, the boy continued to complain about stomach pain and was taken back to Obitoks Hospital where Baiyewu carried out another round of surgery by himself.
Following more complications, Hon. Noheem said the boy was taken to LASUTH where it was confirmed that part of his intestine was missing.
The lawmaker said as a doctor, Baiyewu should have taken the excised part of the boy's body to a pathological department for test, but that "Dr. Baiyewu told the committee that the body parts were mistakenly discarded," and that the doctor had planned to do a third surgery before the boy was taken to LASUTH.
After Noheem's submission, the House commiserated with the bereaved family with Deputy Speaker Mojisola Meranda calling for the sealing of the hospital.
Another member of the committee, Hon. Lawal Aina, told his colleagues it was a pitiable sight when the committee visited Adebola at the hospital.
He added that upon interrogation, it was discovered that Dr. Baiyewu proved not to have been a certified surgeon.
Some of the lawmakers who spoke on the issue, suggested that a formal complaint be made against Dr. Baiyewu to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria for action while others urged stricter monitoring of medical doctors and hospitals.

The visit comes as the CP activates plans to acquaint himself with the safety approach of the region, using the same medium to pursue counsel and prayers from the paramount ruler.
Hosted at the palace of the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, other kings present were; HRM, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM, Oba Aremu Shotonwa, Sekumade Of Ipakodo, HRM, Oba Ajibade Mudashiru Agoro, Ranodu Of Imota, HRM, Oba Adeoriyomi Oyebo, Obateru Of Egbin, HRM, Oba Richard Olukayode, Eweye of Isiu, and HRM, Oba Moruf Ahmed Olalekan, Alagura of Agura.
Welcoming the Commissioner of Police, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, in his brief speech thanked CP Idowu Owohunwa for taking out time to visit the palace.
He explained that Ikorodu, which is the 3rd largest city in southwest Nigeria should always be prioritised in the area of security, encouraging the CP to discern in asking for assistance in ensuring its numerous command posts in Ikorodu work effectively.
Benjamin Hundeyin, Public Relations officer to the Lagos State police force introduced the ranking officers that accompanied the CP, before giving the floor to the commissioner of police.
According to the Commissioner of Police, the essence of the visit is to seek fatherly advice and words of blessing from the paramount ruler of the waterbed region.
He explains, "Honestly, I have been trying to make this visit, but our Kabiesi has been busy, now that am here, the visit is first to seek the prayers and blessings of our king".
"Also, this visit has become even more eminent due to the rising tension in the state over music star Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, an indigene of Ikorodu".
"I want to assure Kabiesi and the people of Ikorodu that we're working to ensure that the necessary quotas are questioned and justice is brought to this sad case".
"I am equally using this medium to urge the youths in Ikorodu and all others participating in the protest to see justice served in Mohbad's case, please be patient with us, the Lagos State Police will not leave any stone unturned in this matter" Idowu asserted
CP Idowu also took his attention to the thriving Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative (IDPIL) security outfit, an agency he praised, making known his intention for his officers to synergize with the unit.
"When I learned about the IDPIL, I was so delighted about the step put in place by the community to combat crimes, because the truth is, government alone cannot do it all".
"The best way to operate is for our officers to integrate these trained security operatives in their actions to fight crimes around the community".
"I don't know how far our command posts in this division have been able to work together with IDPIL, but I'll ensure to put it in full motion that they work together with this local security team" CP Idowu added Filled with satisfaction, HRM, Oba Kabiru Adewale, in his follow-up remark, thanked the CP for his visit, stating that he was very pleased the CP had it in mind to see him.
He urged the the commissioner of police to ensure that he puts into action, everything he has stated to yield results in record time.
Before praying for the CP, he advised him to see Ikorodu division as another home, asserting that it's a good thing that the CP married his wife from Ikorodu.
"The door of this palace is always open to you, you can come at any time for consultation, for our prayers and guidance, and it is my prayer that you'll be promoted to a higher level after serving as the Lagos CP" Oba Shotobi said.
Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, expressed his happiness in every area and points made by CP Idowa regarding his leadership trajectory.
He instructed the CP to ensure he lives up to expectations regarding his aforementioned leadership approach, asserting that once there is effective implementation of the concept, success is assured.
