
Okoope Community zone in Ijede local government area in Ikorodu was one out the 75 zones to receive relief which was organised Courtesy of the Chairman of Ijede LCDA Alhaji Fatiu Salisu Jimoh
The supplies was carried out at the early hours of Wednesday the 8th of April to the surprise of indigent residents of the community but was received with excitement and gratitude to the LCDA by residents.
According to Alhaji Kayode Fahm the head zone coordinator for Okoope community the chairman appropriated the supplies amongst the 75 coordinators who in turn simultaneously mobilized the commodities to their various zones to share among the inhabitants.
This supplies made possible by the chairman is in accordance with the directives made by the state government to support citizens across the state due to the 14 days lockdown executed by the government to contain the CoVid-19 pandemic.
According to some of the beneficiaries the package contains food items like Indomine, Semovita, Spaghetti etc.
Earlier today Ikorodu News Network received report from a reliable source that the state government is in plans to provide the stimulus package for another 100,000 residents in Lagos state as there was complaints about the insufficiency in the sharing of the last stimulus package across the state.
