Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative Movement (IDYIM) Supports Lagos State Government With 500 Face Masks To #MaskUpLagos

The State Government has enforced the easing up of the initial lockdown and it seems the system has began to brew just within the space of a week, Though residents are very much enlighten about the current deadly nature of the CoVid-19 Pandemic, But the eagerness to make ends meet has made alot of people ignored the need to follow the safety measures put in place to fight against the virus effectively. 

Ikorodu News Network joined the team of representatives from the Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative Movement (IDYIM) on Thursday the 7th Of May to Alausa Secretariat for a Special Presentation of Face Masks.

Understanding the essence that it can only take a collective efforts to overcome this limitation, there is no limit to the Support needed by the government to combat this health Crisis.

IDYIM gave 500 Face Masks To The Lagos State Government Through the Office Of The Special Adviser To the Lagos State Governor On Agriculture Ms. Abisola Olusanya and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Agriculture Lagos State Dr. Olayiwole Shakirudeen Onasanya.

“We executed this initiative as a way of supporting the Lagos State Government to fight the CoVid-19 Pandemic” said Comrade Samson Bisiriyu (Executive Director IDYIM)

“We produced 1000 face masks and our intention is to support the Lagos State Government with 500 quantities while the remaining 500 will be distributed across the entire Ikorodu Division” Com. Samson added.

The Projection was initiated specially to support the Lagos State Government in the #MaskUpLagos agenda to contain the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic which has seen a relatively increased number of residents in the state after the lockdown was eased up by the lagos state government.

Ms. Abisola Olusanya (Special Adviser To the Lagos State Governor On Agriculture) expressed her Profound gratitude to the team of representatives from the Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative Movement for playing a responsible role in assisting the government in this time of Health Crisis.
