MS BISOLA Ruth OLUSANYA (LAGOS STATE ACTING COMMISSIONER FOR AGRICULTURE) VISITS THE AVIA FOOD PRODUCTION CENTRE ~ INN Nigeria

20200702 143003 collage The Acting Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olayiwole Onasanya, the Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Agriculture, Mr. Gbolabo Olanihun and other Management Staff today were on an inspection tour of the Songhai Project (Avia Food Production Centre). The Centre houses a technology park, an industrial production centre, an incubation/ human resources development centre, and a service centre where marketing, input procurement networking and advisory services are provided.
The project also has facilities in place for production in poultry, piggery, fishery and vegetable productions. A from boosting food production which will enhance food security in the State, it is expected that the Centre would generate revenue as well as transform into a centre for the development of agricultural entrepreneurs by providing a training ground for the 15,000 youths that the Ministry is proposing to train over a period of 4 years thereby creating employment opportunities for them.
Her visit was in furtherance of the State Government's objective of boosting food security in the State.
