
It was a war of words today as six secondary schools from Ikorodu Division lurk horns in a spoken word competition organized by Imota Students’ Union in commemoration of I.S.U Week 2020.
The competition which was the 2nd of the Talent Hunt Program of the Imota Students’ Union Week 2020 which started on Monday, 16th of November, 2020 with a Free Medical Check-up and Health Enlightenment Exercise, continues with Free Jamb Form Scholarship Aptitude Test, and Talent Hunt – Drawing and Painting respectively.
Exploring the theme; Connecting The Dots, the students made lots of beautiful and heart pricking punchlines in their presentations, and that earned them the cheers and ovations of their teachers, colleagues and other peoples present in the hall.
After what the observers described as ‘a competitive competition,’ Mr. Ogunjobi Temitope Emmanuel, and Mr. Adesokan Ridwan Opeyemi, the juries of the competition recorded and announced the result of the spoken word competition.
According to the result, Regal College, Imota emerged the winner of the spoken word competition, while Great Kezino, Adamo and Imota Community Senior Grammar School, Imota emerged as the 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively.
The spoken word competition was attended by secondary school students and teachers culled from; Great Kezino, Adamo; Dorbar College, Maya; Imota Community Senior Grammar School, Imota; Ansar Ur Deen Senior Grammar, Imota; Regal College, Imota; and Commonwealth Scientists Group of Schools, Imota.
